What's your favorite thing to do in "The World?"

Hmmm.... I guess that would be walking down Main St. I love getting there, but something about Main St., the smells, the sounds, seeing the castle again, the whole ambience is breathtaking.

I'm kinda like the person that said the ferry to the MK, but i like the monorail better. I love stepping into the air conditioned car after waiting in the first line of the disney vacation, riding through the Contemporary, and seeing Space Mountain as we're pulling near. I love the adrenaline rush I get when rushing to the gates trying to get into the park before the other monorail riders get there!

-the ride down to disney-my fil makes us deviled eggs and lavashe wraps and we talk about disney the whole way(7hrs)
-checking into our hotel room and decorating our window and giving everybody their disney bags and t-shirts
-hopping on the bus to MK our 1st day
-walking on main street and singing w/the cms to the tune of "i'm walking right down the middle of main street usa"
-seeing the castle and hearing all the sounds around you of wdw
-riding the monorail and hearing that man's voice
-taking pictures at our favorite spots
-watching illuminations having magaritas @ cantina's by the lake
-dropping 13 stories and trying to hold my hands up w/my 6yr dd
-taking off on rnrc
-watching fantasmic and hearing the noises around you like"mickey"
-riding the people mover at night and splash mtn.
-watching spectro and wishes
-i could go on and on! i love this place!!! my all time favorite thing is being with my husband and daughter (and inlaws) at the most magical place on earth!!! can't wait!!! 52 more days!!!!

OMG I love sooooo many thing in WDW, but here are a few of my favorites:
--Walking out of MCO towards the rental car area, it is filled with a nice fountain, and palm trees, but what I really love is that hot and humid air smacking me in the face!!! Now I know I've arrived for an awesome trip.
--And I love watching my two boys start to freak out on the monorail when they can see Cinderella's Castle. On our last visit, my DS3 got so excited that he had everyone in our car laughing!!
--And one more thing I love is getting pizza and sangria at the Boardwalk. We always have a great time here. We eat right next to the take out window and then we hit the boards watching all the funny shows they have going on!!!!
I really could go on and on forever, I just love the MOUSE!!:mickeyjum

One of my faves would have to be riding on splash mt with my DGF. TOT would run a close second. I also love walking around the parks over the holidays, taking in all the music and decorations.

My favorite part of disney is to just walk around and really embrace the true "magic" of disney (scenery, rides, food, characters, ect) Everywhere you turn somethig magical is taking place. it's a great thing to see. and i just love everything about disney!

One of my favorite things to do in "the World" is to talk to people while waiting in line, or for a show or parade. I love being able to "talk Disney" with them, talk about where they live, or where we live, give them tips or hints. I like talking to the CMs too. ::yes::

One of my favorite things to do in WDW is the first time of your trip, walking through the gates at the Magic Kingdom, and walking down Main St. :wizard:

Gotta be riding space mountain - i look forward to it each time we go. I've been riding it each year since I was a child and love sharing the thrills with my kids now.

Watching the Spectromagic parade enjoying a box of popcorn with DD7!

Over the years, I have found several special things about WDW that I can share;

in the early years, when the MK, PR and CR were the only things on property, driving the car into the WDW property from I-4 was an awesome feeling. It was like you were driving into a different world and leaving reality behind. It was very special. Not so much now because of all the development on and off-site.

getting up early (I can't sleep in), getting a coffee at the Bakery and leisurely walking with my wife from the Boardwalk to the Yacht Club to the Beach Club and back to the BW. Hardly anybody there, quiet and serene, a good time for photos and just being with that special someone.

the feeling you get when you walk into the Polynesian Resort lobby when you first check in. We love many of the resorts but there's something special about the Poly and just arriving for your vacation.

riding the monorail through the Contemporary Resort. WOW, what a neat experience. Nothing like it anywhere.

walking from the Poly resort to the GF resort on the beach at sunset. No shoes, watching the monorail go by, seeing the castle off in the distance,
maybe a glass of champagne.

Those are a few, I have others but I don't want to run on.

Randy

WOW! So many people like the feeling of arriving, just like I do. Thanks to everyone for sharing, these are great, please keep them up. :thumbsup2

1. Staying at one of the All-Star resorts (usually "Movies" or "Music") and waking up early in the morning. Of course, that means that I have to wake up DH too!! And, he's not the easy one to wake up so early in the morning. My godfather says, "Let's go guys!! Figment is waiting for us!!! Of course, when he's with us, we MUST go to EPCOT and do Journey Into Imagination With Figment. We love having breakfast at the food court, before we board the bus. Of course, I'm the one that's usually too excited to eat anything.

2. Riding the bus to the parks, and getting excited when I see the entrance to Walt Disney World (the archway over the highway).

3. Riding the monorails and buses.

4. Eating the dinner buffet at Boma's.

Walking down Sunset Bv at Disney-MGM Studios. I used to spend hours sitting on a bench on Sunset Bv people watching.

Just steping through those gates and running up main street with my sister! lol It's a werid habit we do the moment we arrive! I also love walking up to fantasy land and seeing all the mini princesses in their dresses! It really makes me smile and reminds me that it wasn't that long ago when I was there and I allways feel I am there when we go on our first ride which is usally POTC! My sis is madly in love with Orlando and we all caught the pirate bug from her! :P Lol that was a long passage I wrote :P I'm such a werdo o_O

Favorite thing to do in the WDW ::: JUST TO BE THERE

I love standing at the end of main street looking at the castle and breathing in, the smell of the candy shop and the bakery and the sound of hundreds of happy people chatting excitedly.

walking along the poly beach just after sunrise with the smell of the fresh morning air and the views of the castle the contempary and the grand flo, sometimes you can hear to train whistle too.

thats when i know i am home again at last.:)
