What's your FAVORITE thing in the whole WORLD (WDW of course!)

My favorite thing would be first of all the anticipation when your driving under that arch and you know your only minutes away from checking in. Next would be the feeling and the tears that I get when I'm walking into the Magic Kingdom and see the castle at the end of Main Street for that first time. Watching my kids faces as they look around and take everything in. There's just nothing else like it!

I would have to say...

-watching the castle 'change colors' at night

-turning onto Disney property and seeing the signs ::yes::

-after our first trip with DD, I'll now add riding Splash Mountain. It was her favorite ride and I'll never forget the look on her face each of the million times we rode it. :teeth:

I am so excited I've finally created a multipage thread!

Here's a few more must do's for me:

Grabbing an EMU leg and a frozen lemonade in Frontierland and sitting on a bench watching the Tom Sawyer rafts float by.

One phrase: "Por Favor mantengense alejadro de las puertas"

Walking around World showcase and checking out the shops and conversing with the "locals". Ola, Ciao, Konichiwa, Gutten Tahg...

Off-Kilter. I love those guys. Even have an autographed CD.

Waiting in line like a kid to shake hands with Donald.

Sitting on a still warm surbside at night waiting for Spectro to start.

Browsing the Main Street Emporium.

My favorite Disney moments:

Taking a break on the WedWay (TTA, whatever) Peoplemover to get my second wind back in the heat of the afternoon.

The way POC smells--it is not the nicest smell, but it always smells the same from DL to MK, from 1976 to now.

Spaceship Earth: when you go backwards down the hill at the very last part of the ride.

Walking into the Mexico pavilion for the first time of each trip.

Flying over London in PPF, with the music. It's perfect!

Being on Main Street, no matter what I am doing or which direction I am heading.

Like everyone else I can't just have one! I have a few that are in a tie.

- Getting my first welcome home as I pull into the gate at BWV.

- I don't feel like I am on vacation in WDW until I walk into MK, but my personal all time favorite is PP. To me this ride and movie is what it is all about - never growing up - it's magical to me.

- Dumbo with my kids.

Too many fav's to list! But one is seeing the preshow at MK before the park opens. Gives me chills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Sitting on a hammock on the beach of the polynesian.

- Queue line for Pirates.

- On Spaceship Earth, when going back down, listening to the music and watching those neon lights.

Looking across the lagoon from the Poly to the MK at night. There is no more comforting site in the world.

Three things:

1. We always drive and when you get on property and see the sings I get that kid feeling again.

2. Everytime I see Fantasmic, could see it every night in we are there.

3. Now that I have a little girl, watching her have fun. This year she is really a "Princess" at age 3 and can't wait to see her reactions.

For me I really love it when I wake up on the morning we're going!!
Then the drive to the airport, feeling sorry for all the other drivers who are probably just going shopping whilst WE are going to Florida!!
And then at the airport where some poor people are merely flying off to Spain or somewhere but WE are going to Florida!
This works in reverse too, because when we go on holiday to somewhere in Europe, (although I'm fine once we get on the plane and we are so fortunate that we have been able to have some lovely holidays) nevertheless there is always that twinge of envy when we see check-ins that say 'Orlando' and we're not in that queue!
I always enjoy reading trip reports with a lengthy description of the journey from home to WDW, how everyone felt when they woke up that morning, where they ate breakfast on the way to the airport etc!! Am I a bit sad?

My favorite thing in the world is the 5th floor balcony at the Wilderness Lodge. I love to get up before the wife and DS, grab myself a danish and a coffee and just sit on the balcony. Everything is so calm and peaceful, only a few people waking around and CMs opening up the pool for the day. Other than that it's just me and WDW, just the way Walt wanted it to be I'm sure.

For me it's seeing Mickey Mouse in the Magic Kingdom; when I was young my father used to talk about going to see the Mouse some day. We finally went when I was 16 - this was before Epcot was built. He absolutely loved it there. When my daughter was born in '90 he used to rock her and sing the Mickey Mouse song to her and tell her that when she was old enough he would take her to see the Mouse. Sadly he passed away suddenly before this could happen but she remembers him telling her that and every time we go we look for the Mouse and we know he's with us:lovestruc on our trip.

There's NOTHING that can compare to the feeling you get when you turn off of FL 192 onto World Drive and see those signs::yes::

Another one I thought of is getting off the plane to see a bunch families with bags of stuff from WDW getting to go home, it makes you wonder how their trip went, what they did, and if you'll be reading about it on the DIS...

That was THE most touching thing I have read here....I started crying, that is SO sweet and beautiful, I believe he IS there with you on your trip

Wow:eek: It's hard to pick just one if you are atrue fan of Disney::MickeyMo

Mine would be:

The first walk through the train station at the Magic Kingdom. As you emerge you can hear the wonderful music piping down Main Street and then you see the castle.

Listening to "The Ghost Host's" voice throughout the Haunted Mansion. It still gives me chills to this day:earseek:

Singing along with all of the wonderful songs on Splash Mountain and just enjoyin' the scenery (Pretty good sure as you're born)

The smile on my 5-year-old daughter's face when she see's Mickey Mouse!

The excitment in my 12-year-old son's voice when he realizes he beat his Dad on Buzz Lightyear.

The special hug my 12-year-old daughter gives me when just the 2 of us get that special tingly feeling when the music begins for Spectromagic parade.

The laughter of my 17-year-old son when he sits in the little space vehicle outside Space Mountain and pretends to be Duck Dodger! (don't ask)

The appreciative look and wink when I suprise my hubby with his own Mickey Bar and he realizes he doesn't have to ride the "spinny" rides.

All in all...WDW is great...but it is nothing more than a safe, fun and fantastic enviroment to have a shared experience with your family!

What's the one thing that you do everytime you go that either:

a) Brings tears (of joy/happiness) to your eyes..seeing the castle first time we walk into mk.

b) Makes you smile/laugh like a kid...getting our pics taken with the characters..

c) Makes you scream like a little girl...tower of terror.aaaaaaaaaaaaah

d) Makes all life's troubles just disappear...walking along the beach at the poly at night

When at the top of Summit Plummet, is has the BEST view (I think!) I just love it!! You can see the main landmark I guess you will call it, of every park! Totally awesome!!!!:cloud9:
