Bought some Roquefort dressing this week as a treat. As a kid, I knew we were at a fancy restaurant is they had Roquefort dressing. What's your favorite salad dressing?

Depends on the salad.

A Wedge? Bleu Cheese
A Caesar? Caesar.
A Garden Salad? Ranch, Honey Mustard, or Balsamic Vinaigrette depending on my mood.

"Other" because I don't have one favorite.

I like French (Catalina style preferred), Ranch, and Vinaigrette (Raspberry or Balsamic preferred).

Depends on the taste of whatever brand of dressing and what it's going on.
Thousand Island is my favorite for plainish salads, red wine vinegar and oil with garlic salad for heavy meals, Ken's Italian for other times

Homemade only, usually a garlic lemon vinaigrette but vinegar works too, made Caesar recently with cheese, garlic and egg yolk. Nothing out of a bottle.

Italian at home because I make Good Seasons brand.
Ranch from out because for some reason it always tastes so good lol.
And I'm like my dad and want my salad drown in dressing.

I like most every salad dressing EXCEPT ranch. :crazy2:

This month my favorite is Vidalia Onion Poppyseed. I bought it at a gourmet store.

I recently tried something my mother liked decades ago, like the 1970s. Green Goddess. Nah, it just didn’t taste very good.

Thousand Island has always been my favorite. When I was a young girl, my best friend's mom, who was from Georgia, would make us a salad with just fresh iceberg, sliced tomatoes, and a little mayonnaise as dressing. Sounds too simple, but it was lovely because the veggies were so fresh. I still make it today if I can get good tomatoes.

Our favorite pizza place makes their own ranch dressing too. It is so popular that they sell containers of it as a side item.

No single favorite for me, depends on the salad and my mood.

We often make a lemon-olive oil-garlic dressing for just a simple green salad. I like a spicy chipotle ranch when I'm having a southwest type salad with beans, corn, crumbled tortilla chips. If I'm having it with grilled salmon on top, or with roasted veggies, I like honey mustard. I like a ginger dressing if I'm having a salad along with an Asian inspired meal. Poppyseed dressing is my choice when I've got fruit in the salad. If I'm at an Italian restaurant I'll usually go with balsamic vinaigrette. I love Thousand Island, but only occasionally on a green salad ... I add it to my grilled cheese & tomato on rye sandwiches, and once in awhile add it to a burger. Italian dressing goes in one of the pasta salads that I make, and occasionally as a marinade, but rarely on my green salad. Those are probably the ones I use most frequently. I've also got green goddess in my fridge right now that is pretty good, but I got it as a dip for cut veggies on a specific occasion, and probably won't have it regularly.

No blue cheese dressing for me though, never.

We really enjoy all of the Aldi’s vinaigrette dressings - Three Cheese, Garlic, Raspberry, etc. Some have a clove of garlic at the bottom and it’s so good, we fight over it, lol. We use the large Ken’s to marinate with a good amount.

I loved Blue Cheese as a kid, didn't know what it was. Fast forward many years and DH and I went out to dinner and I got my salad with Blue Cheese. It was always bottled as a kid, but this must've been a "fancy" type with actual cheese pieces in it. I said to DH "There is mold on my cheese". He started laughing. I never had it again.

My wife hates liver. My wife loves Braunschweiger. When I pointed out that Braunschweiger is liver......she said, "it's too good to be liver"
