I dont have a single fave, I have lots of places I like.

Cracker Barrel...dumplin's, hashbrown casserole and okra.

And now my mind has gone blank. I know I dont care for places such as Chilis, Chevys, TGIFridays, Applebees, etc, etc.

We have a local Mexican restaurant called Toucans that we eat weekly but I only order tamales and crayfish with jalepenas. Yummy! Oh yes, we also order the guacamole to go with our chips.

Carabba's--Filet Marsala. Mmmmm! Love their salad and bread, too.

I love love love Chili's chicken crispers! We also love to go to Fritz's in Crown Center in KC. They bring your food to you on a train and then it lowers to your table. It' lots of fun and pretty good cheeseburgers and milkshakes. KC also has some great mexican restaraunts downtown. We don't get to them often but they are yummy!

My fave is A J Spurs. It is a semi- local steakhouse, with 3 here on the central coast and one more somewhere in CA. They start you out with stew and it is my favorite thing! I could make a meal out of just the stew.

As for chains, Applebee's is the best!

I'm mad at them since they dumped New Orleans as their headquarters. Miss Ruth is probably spinning in her grave over this.

My favorite:
Commander's Palace - New Orleans, although it won't reopen until late August.

Mine's a local steakhouse called "The Angry Bull". Love their steaks! They serve baked potatoes as big as footballs. Great service! We have our favorite waitress and always ask to be seated in her section.

ETA: Sorry off topic. Taylor, LOVE LOVE LOVE your Great Dane! I see you live in MI. My mom got one of our danes off a breeder called Michael Chiles in Michigan. Do you know him?

Lynn's Paradise Cafe here in Louisville. My favorite meal is the homemade granola with blueberries and bananas, served with a side of homemade honey vanilla yogurt. Haven't been able to eat it since I got my braces, though.

Also like Buckhead's Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with bleu cheese dressing. It's also a local chain.

Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse chain, is awesome, too.

I love a local place called Las Gaviotas. They have excellent quesadillas. It's a ton of food and cheap, too!

I also like California Pizza Kitchen. I love the pepperoni and olives - it's excellent! I just wish one would open close by. The nearest location is 2 hours away.

We also have a place called The Harbor View Cafe and since the hurricane they have relocated. The food is delicious. For lunch I love their spinach salad with pecans and feta cheese served with a raspberry vinergrette dressing. The make the best shrimp poor boys.

When we feel like a roast beef poor boy we go to Pirates Cove. You need about 20 napkins to eat this puppy. It may be messy, but oh, so delicious.
