Whats your favorite resort that you don't own points at and why?


I'll go first. BWV is my home.

Favorite non-home resort would be BCV's. I like the theme, I like SAB(or more to the point my daughter could spend all day in the sand), and the short walk to Epcot. Ice cream and burgers and Beaches & Cream sounds good also.

I agree with Beach Club. We own at Boardwalk and Vero but our favorite non-home DVC resort would be Beach Club.

I own at SSR ,but my favorite is the BW. I just love the area, the ESPN club, the fact you can walk to Epcot, etc.
However, that being said, I am new to DVC and haven't stayed at any of them yet. I've never even seen SSR, but have seen the 4 on WDW property.

I own at OKW (love it !), but if I could buy some extra points it would be at VWL. Just love the atmosphere there---feels so warm & cozy. I'd like to make Dec trips here.
In all fairness though, I have not experienced SSR or BCV. The only DVC resorts I've stayed in have been OKW, BWV, VWL and Vero.

OKW is my favorite resort that we don't "own" at; we have points @ BWV, VWL & BCV & BWV is my favorite out of those.

OKW is just soooooooo relaxing & quiet, the rooms are just wonderful & the staff has been consistently great!

Another OKW lover here! We don't own any points there, at VWL. However, whenever we go to OKW, there seems to be a real emphasis on the relaxation of vacation.

This depends on why I'm at Disney. Most frequently I'm there for EPCOT so I'd say BCV is my favorite non-home. I suspect that SSR will bump it out once I stay there...the proximity to DTD is a huge deal (with a car).

I guess in spite of the hike I complained about in a previous thread, it would have to be BWV. Like others had commented on, proximity to Epcot, and the shops, and eateries in the area have to be among the best of the lot.

My favorite resort is OKW that I don't have points at. I did finally buy 51 points recently, but all my other points are at BWV. I really want more OKW points.

Own at BWV, but have never been. We went to OKW on our first trip and DH LOVED IT!! Now everytime I reserve a trip, I suggest other resorts and he won't hear of it! I love OKW too! Maybe someday I'll get him to expand his horizon. We just added on at SSR and he did LOVE the GV there. So maybe there is hope.

We own at VWL and love it. Until Disney passes on its ROFR for our resale I can still say that OKW is the resort favorite that we don't own. We stayed there in January and fell in love with the laid-back, relaxing, truly home-away-from-home atmosphere. Hopefully by this time next month we will own there too!

We own at BWV and OKW. My favorite after those two would be VWL. Just love the atmosphere, the look of the pool. the little beachfront on the lake, etc. Have never actually stayed there but would love to - we reserved once and had to cancel because of a family illness.

Mine would be VWL. DH has only let us stay there 2X for long weekends because he thinks it is too secluded! I like it because I grew up in the woods and now live in the city and it is like "home."

OKW, because BWV is my home and primary place (due to location), but once I get pick up another few hundred BW points, I'm goning to start buying OKW. It's so relaxing there!

we own at bc with an add on at bw (purchased before our first stay at okw - if we had stayed at okw before the add on purchase i would have past up bw and taken okw.
