The recent post about Matt, the juggler, from MGM made me think about all the great pre-shows one finds at WDW. Matt the juggler was great, and we really enjoy Four for a Dollar when they open Beauty and the Beast.

Of course there are plenty of great preshows that aren't necessarily live entertainment: the General Knowledge short before Cranium Command, the Twilight Zone TV segment before the Tower of Terror loading queue, etc.

Does anyone else have a favorite preshow?

Another vote for Four for a Dollar opening for Beauty and the Beast. We even bought their CD.

Tower of Terror, Muppets, and Star Tours are some of my favorites. Very well done.

Tower of Terror hands down. :D It's so nice and spooky.

Universe of Energy... It's better than the ride!

1. Tower of Terror (detail is phenomenal - unparalleled)
2. Four for a Dollar (great singers - lots of laughs)
3. Rock n Roller Coaster (just too cool!)
4. Muppets 3D (hillarious)
5. Star Tours (you really feel like you're on the movie set)
6. Space Mountain (I just love the long walk that makes you feel like you're in a space station)
7. Test Track (had to get EPCOT in there ; ^ )

Funny - nothing from AK; maybe Dinosaur?

I know it is just a big commercial for Kodak, but I just love the preshow for Honey I shunk the Audience. True Colors just gets me going every time I see it.

The Beauty and the Beast guys were great. We had missed them before, because we usually arrive at live shows right before they start to minimize waiting time. We usually end up in the back, but with good seats. We decided to see B/B one last time and get there early enough to sit up front. We loved that pre-show, and it was so completely funny and clever how they got into it!

When we went to WDW, I had scoured the Disboards so much, there was very little I was surprised by. When my daughter was picked to "start" Illuminations at Rose and Crown, I had already read about it-- and when my husband was picked to play the Beast at Belle's storytime at the MK, I was glad they picked him, but I already knew it might happen. Don't get me wrong, these were great things to happen, but they weren't out-of-nowhere surprises. I think that B/B preshow was one of the only things I saw at WDW I hadn't read about in advance of our trip! ;)

The Great Movie Ride. It may be simplistic, but the old movie trailers are in the old-sytle theatre are classic. On hot days, even when the crowds are down, we sometimes grab a drink and just go sit there for twenty minutes.

My favorite is definitely 4 for a Dollar prior to Beauty and the Beast!

Second is Rock n Rollercoaster... can't get enough of Steven Tyler!

Third is ToT, no matter how many times I ride it, I still get a thrill from the preshow!
