Good point. I use it on hamburgers/cheeseburgers only -- not even fries.

Funny but I don't like ketchup on a burger either. I will eat it some of the time with fries but in both cases, I prefer mayo to ketchup. It just occurred to me that I think I just keep ketchup around the house for the occasional meatloaf prep! I can't think of anywhere else I'd use it.

They are both red sauces, but not at all similar. I will have ketchup on scrambled eggs sometimes.

I rarely eat anything hot & spicy. :crazy2:

I will be soooooooo glad when this fad of restaurants preparing spicy food is over. I have had more one otherwise delicious meal ruined by too much spice in the preparation.

Me too! I often go to Thai or Indian restaurants and ask for NOT hot & spicy. Yet, some will still put too much in and when I get takeout and eat it at home, it's still too spicy. :headache:

I love spicy food and have a large collection of hot sauces at any given time. I like both hot sauce and ketchup on eggs, and I can eat them with just hot sauce, but not just ketchup. I also eat them with salsa or horseradish.

I'm such a hot sauce fanatic. My limit seems to be 1million Scoville units, so I don't do the absolute hottest sauces, but I still get pretty spicy.

I love hot sauce on eggs. Has to be Tabasco though. Not enough heat with the others which requires adding more than I would prefer.

:rolleyes1 DH put ketchup one too many times on his eggs so he is soon to be history.

Okay. It is not our reason to separate or divorce. 🤣

I like salsa sometimes on my eggs when having it with soft tortillas. I like scrambled egg sandwiches with Duke's mayo and mustard.

Don't like ketchup or hotsauce on anything. Don't even want ketchup on fries. For eggs, just salt is good, sometimes some cheese mixed in.

I only eat scrambled eggs…Never tried ketchup or hot sauce (or salsa, etc) but just the thought gets an ‘ick’ reaction from my stomach to anything other than cheese on my eggs.

Ketchup is a big NO for me on eggs. I cannot even stand the thought of it. Hot sauce however, yea that's not bad. I don't do it a lot, but I like to get a little bit onto the eggs. One of those things if you go somewhere and get hashbrowns w/eggs, I will put the hot sauce on the hashbrowns and put enough on there that I can get a little bit for the eggs too.

At the risk of solidifying my old age. I was born and raised very close to Quebec. Many of my family were French Canadian, not to be confused with my wife who was English Canadian and therefore could not find any food bland enough to fill her desires. Anyway, we always had ketchup on our pan fried or scrambled eggs. Never knew any other way. I still have eggs daily and use ketchup every time. When I moved south I confined it to just when at home or I would order home fries that for some reason was acceptable to put ketchup on and I'd use enough to share it discretely with my eggs.

There was also something that my mother and father growing up during the depression added to the menu. It was a bread, butter and ketchup sandwich. It was my favorite a young child mostly because my dad ate them all the time. A couple other things he liked that my 1950's brain could not adjust to were things like "Blood Pudding", Head Cheese and eating sardines right out of the can. Even a kid who wanted to be like his dad, had his limitations.

Lots of ketchup on scrambled eggs, omelets or egg sandwiches. :thumbsup2 No ketchup on fried eggs, however.
Ketchup goes on a few other things as well. :rolleyes1

Neither. First time I knew this was a 'thing' was visiting friends out west many years ago and they put hot sauce on their eggs. Something I would never do.

When I was in the Navy a Marine introduced me to the beauty of hot sauce on eggs. Just about can't eat eggs without it now.

Don't like ketchup on eggs, but have tried chili crisp on fried eggs and that's really good, too.

Little salt and maybe some cheese . But cheese is only for scrambled eggs & omelets.
