With all the Christmas threads starting I figured I would start one :teeth:

What's your favorite holiday song? Mine is by far O Holy Night by Josh Grobin. I can't make it through the song without tearing up.

Anything I can remember the words to at the moment.

I'm not good on the words to a complete song. So I just make
my own up as I go , Well except we wish you a merry Christmas ,
I seem to have that down pretty good.

Mine is Joy to the World-sung by any great sounding choral group. I tear up too!

I can't say this is my favorite, but I love to hear it, and don't have a recording of it, so every time it is on the radio I make everyone shut up so I can listen to it! It is a narrated little story about a man on a train on a Christmas Eve, and he sees another family that makes him think back to memories of his Christmases wile growing up. It is so descriptive, I love the flood of memories that it brings back to me. If anyone knows the name of that song, I'd love to get it so I can buy the music!

Mamacita, Donde Esta Santa Claus - Augie Rios

My two favorite relgious Christmas songs:

O Holy Night is number one, no matter who sings it. I can never make it through church when the choir sings it, nor can I make it through when just about anyone else sings it, but it will always be a Perry Como song to me.

Silent Night no matter who sings it.

My favorite secular songs:

Why Can't Every Day Be Like Christmas by Elvis

The Theme to Polar Express by Josh Grobin, but I don't know the name of the
song

It's Coming On Christmas by Joni Mitchell

The Christmas Song by The Carpenters

Twelve Day of Christmas by The Muppets and no one else :teeth:

And last but not least (and watch how I butcher the spelling of this song!):

Mali Kalikemaka by Bing Crosby or Jimmy Buffet :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

O Holy Night as sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
I Wonder as I Wander as sung by Placido Domingo
Gabriel's Message as sung by Sting
Love the Nat King Cole chestnut song...what is that called again?
Carol of the Bells--anyone
Noel Nouvelet--can't remember the singer but it was on one of those 60s star-compilation records.

OK I know this is really obscure but it is my favorite, it is a 13th century song called 'Of the Father's Love Begotten'. Sung in a big church with great accoustics, a cappella on Christmas Eve and you will think you are in heaven. :)

Oh Holy Night sung by Shiloh (great male acapella group)
The Chipmunk Christmas Song (I still want a huuuuuuula hoop!)

Father Christmas by Emerson Lake and Palmer and
Christmas Eve at Sarajevo by Trans Siberia Orchester

The Christmas Song ..........

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a choir, folks dressed up like Eskimos.............

Love that song

Do They Know It's Christmas? - Band Aid
Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy - Bing Crosby and David Bowie
Happy Christmas (War is Over) - John Lennon
Carol of the Bells - This Ascension

I've always loved "Last Christmas" by Wham. When I hear that song on the radio, I know it's officially time for me to start my holiday shopping!

I love Elvis' whole Christmas Album :teeth:

I like..

And the Angels Cried by Alan Jackson and Alison Krauss

Silver and Gold by Vanessa Williams

O Holy Night by Martina McBride, plus I like Let It Snow and Silver Bells by her, too.

Silent Night by Enya

We Need a Little Christmas by Johnny Mathis
Christmas Through Your Eyes by Gloria Estefan
Merry Christmas Darling by the Carpenters
White Christmas by Bing Crosby

Hmm to many favorites what comes to mind is I'll Be Home For Christmas".

Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy - Bing Crosby and David Bowie

Forgot about this one! Also love it  . They sing so beautifully together, who'd a thunk :confused3 ?

My favorite Christmas song is probably a medly of most of the Christmas songs I've ever heard in one long, non-stop set. I mean , come on, how can you possibly pick just one. :cool1:

I have a ton of Christmas CD's, and last year I burned many of them onto one MP3 CD, so now if we go on a long trip, I can stick that one CD into my cars MP3 player, and have over 8 hours of different Christmas music playing.
