Oh, my boys and I love this story. Its sad, but has a good ending.

Its hard to pick a favorite - I am a huge Seuss fan. I guess I'd have to go with Green Eggs and Ham if hard pressed to pick one.

I'm with you SeaSpray....."Sighed Maizie the lazy bird hatching her egg; I'm tired and I'm bored and I've kinks in my legs....." I can still recite all of "Horton Hatches an Egg". I even have Horton the the Elephant Bird ornaments for my Christmas tree.

I adore everything Dr. Seuss - except the awful movie adaptation.

"And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street" is my long time favorite Dr. Seuss book.

My "new" favorite is "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" because Isabella just learned to read and it HER favorite to read to me!
