Well, I wouldn't consider food to be "tchotchkes". It's a great Yiddish word for "knick knacks". You know, things you'd display in your curio cabinet or on shelves and tables.
I don't think I'd want to display a Dole Whip in such a way unless it was a fake model of one. (And even so, I don't think I'd want to display that. Heh.)
My daughter's answer would be plush "anything". She is a stuffed animal/character freak. I, however, always like nice key chains. I like something that I can see/use everyday. While key chains might technically not be a tchotchke, it is my favorite.
This reminds me I need to look for some fine writing instruments. I'm always looking for my favorite "any old" pen for work and it always needs replacing. Not sure if there are decent/value writing instruments available at the parks but I need to investigate.
I used to collect those little metal ride cars. I don't think they make them anymore. I have Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Mr. Frog's Wild Ride, Mattahorn, El Rio de Tiempo, Small World.
I am so bad with magnets. I have litterally 1000s of magnets and decided years ago I don't like them in my kitchen. I wish I had a spare fridge in a seperate room to put them on. I have been known to buy doznes. My goal this trip is to only buy one, a year one, and n o more no matter how cute they are.
Oh, I do the frames too. I get at least the year one every trip. In fact, on our last trip I got the stomach flu on our last night. I was to do all our shopping the next morning but was still sick so couldn't go, I was not thinking straight and didn't get my frame. I am still so sad that I have a year frame from every trip but 2006. I look on E-Bay all the time, I would do anything for that frame.
