I'm thinking of doing a character breakfast for our Dec. trip. We will have 3- 2 yr. olds with us & thought they might enjoy it. Any suggestions?

(I have only done the character breakfast which was held on the Empress Lilly, when I was in the College Program~a long time ago! ;) )

Hi Tiffany,
We have to stop meeting like this!:p My recommendation is Chef Mickey's all the way. They are very relaxed and they play it up to kids. Whe we were there in July, I got the last PS for breakfast (on purpose). We had lot's of character interaction and as other left, we got even more. Then every so often they start a song and everyone waves their napkins in the air and the characters and servers dance around and sing. A must do on every trip for us now.

Our absolute a favorite is the Crystal Palace character breakfast. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is awesome and the character interaction is great. We always eat there at least twice during our trips. Our second favorite is Chef Mickey's.

1900 Park Faire is far and away the best of the character breakfasts. You have never in your life seen such a spread of food! And they have a huge separate buffet for the kids with kid's favorites like eggs and cheese, Mickey waffles, cereal.. and MUCH, MUCH more!

For the adults, you name it, they have it.... from fresh fruit bar to design your own omelettes!

There is a good selection of characters at this breakfast and some you won't find at any others, so it is a good way to see some of the tried and true, and try some new characters, too. When we went, Bert and Mary Poppins were in the lobby coloring with the kids while they waited to be seated, and inside were Alice in Wonderland, Pooh and Tigger. I have heard that Eeyore and the Mad Hatter often make appearences as well. The characters were great with the kids, and the adults, alike

The service was top notch. We never had to ask for anything, it just appeared. Glass half full of OJ... turn around and it is full... empty plated disappear without you even noticing.

To me, this character breakfast has something for everyone and shouldn't be missed!

Donald's breakfastosaurus .... Great characters, fun CM's and wonderful food. The made to order omlettes are great.

I second the Crystal Palace. This restaurant is so sunny and airy (I hope that it hasn't changed!) and the food is good too. I like the characters and I also like the fact that they don't come by that often since the restaurant is so big. It gives us a chance to eat too!

WOW what a question. My mouth is watering right now. We love Donald's Breakfastosaurus at the Animal Kingdom. It is tremendous. There is always plenty of character interaction, plenty of time for pictures and the cast is great! Not to mention the food is fantastic. They have everything you can imagine to eat and the atmoshpere is great. We look forward to this every time. :smooth: :bounce:

Cape May or 1900 park fare... all are great but these two have the best selection by far!!!

We ate breakfast at CP for the first time last year and it easily moved in to the top spot. We went for the first seating and everything looked so fresh and clean. Great food & great character interaction.

Runner Up: Cape May Cafe - No chef to cook my omelet, but Superb character interaction!

We like Ohanas with small children. Mainly because its served family style - which means mom isn't spending her meal getting food. (Cindy's is plated, which saves you this problem as well, but means mom has to man the phone to get a ressie).

The food is good, the character interaction is good, and its convienent on a MK day.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's. The food is good...the character interaction wonderul....and the atmosphere amazing. Honestly, where in the world do you find a monorail driving thru the lobby of your restaurant?!

....our family tradition to "do" Chef Mickey's before we set foot in ANY park. Of course, the first park we visit is MK, which is a short monorail ride away from Chef Mickey's!! We just love the anticipation of getting on a monorail, eating a hearty breakfast (the character interaction is wonderful at Chef Mickey's), followed by a visit to THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH is something that just can't be duplicated (well, maybe Christmas morning is a CLOSE second!)

1900 Park Fare:D We have done Chef Mickey's, Donalds, CP,and CRT for breakfast. I don't think any of the other one's are bad I just think 1900 is the best. We have been there three times and we enjoy it every time. I like the way the room in layed out. The characters always spend a lot of time with the kids. It's more laid back than CM's and you don't feel rushed like you do at CRT. The main reason we enjoy it so much is the food. They have a lot to choose from and it is all very good. When we were there in January my sister asked me what was on the other side of the buffet I told her it was the same on both sides, boy was I wrong. They have a lot of good choices laid out in a nice way. It's the only time I eat rice krispie treats for breakfast:D My kids enjoyed eating chocolate rice cereal with marshmellows and chocolate chips on top ( only at WDW:D )

Thanks for all of the replies!! You are making me hungry!! ;)
