What's your favorite "bargain" restaurant?

Cosmic Rays in Magic Kingdom. Large portions, good food, good prices.

I'll have to second this, and also mention Tusker House. Both have servings that are huge and could easily be shared between 2.

I love the Tusker House, even though we've only had the opportunity to eat there once. It made a big impression on me! I had the roasted chicken and green beans. I don't like green beans, but their recipe was awesome! I liked it b/c you're getting food similar to a 'regular' sit-down restaurant, but without the hassle and price of a TS.

Because of all the rave reviews on Trails End , we have booked it for our first night, I was looking for something close to the park, that was reasonable ( we are on ddp but do have a couple of oop to pay for) that ds would like, and when I booked they said its the same food as HDR so he will eat, he LOVES the chicken... We were originally scheduled at House of Blues but, this seemed like a better value for our first evening, since I am not sure if he will be up to trucking around DTD when we get there and this way we don't have to rush or worry about getting our luggage to change :thumbsup2

Thanks, I would have never known it was there with out the help of this thread :woohoo:

A great bargain for TS is Rose and Crown Pub. We love their fish and chips and the cost is very low for TS about 15.99. The fish portion is huge and well worth the money. :thumbsup2

One of the best meals i've had that is affordable is Kona Cafe. That Island Chicken Sandwich is huge, and fills you up. If you ate a late luch here a small snack would hold you over for the rest of the night.

Our favorites are:

LTT Lunch-huge portions and could easily be an early dinner or lunch with a light dinner later

Earl of Sandwich-love the salads there

Tusker House salmon

We also had a good lunch at the ESPN Club last Dec. and split a basket of fires and chicken fingers. It was good.

We LOVE Peco's Bill's! Call me thrifty, but with all of those yummy condiments at your fingertips you can make a side salad to go with your yummy burger!! Unlimited pickles...who could ask for anything more?

I love Earl of Sandwich--The Cobb salad is my favorite.

We also enjoy Trail's End at Ft. Wilderness. Relaxing atmosphere!

Very interesting thread!

Bargain? Disney? Isn't that an oxymoron?

No, but seriously, folks:

Add me to the chorus of Tusker House fans. It's simply my favorite CS spot. Beaches and Cream is as good as it gets for what it is, methinks. Kona Cafe is almost "sophisticated" for the Poly, and it serves my favorite breakfast on property.

But for the absolute best value based on quality and quantity? Gotta go with Boma.

I always think the skillet at WCC is a good deal.

Also, Wolfgang puck express is good value.

IMHO the best "bargain" restaurant is Trails End. Good food and all you can eat.

I think you are going to love it! DH absolutely loves the fried chicken too!
If you like it for dinner, try their breakfast sometime too...both are wonderful!

Enjoy!

Food quality wise - I would say the salmon at Tusker House is Disney's best bargain.

Totally agree!! Me and my family were happy with the quality and the amount of all the entrees at Tusker House, the SALMON was the best!!!!

To us you can't beat Earl of Sandwich in DTD. We eat there a couple of times every trip. :goodvibes
