What's your Disney "Thing?"

The dole whip float is a little different than a root beer float because the liquid is just pineapple juice, not carbonated so it does not get all foamy. This for me, is a plus. The "whip" itself is similar to other dole whips you can get a fairs and carnivals, but it is fluffier at WDW...who knows though that might be my imagination. If you like pineapple it is a must have! :thumbsup2

Happy Eats!

Aah, thank you! I have nothing against pineapple, even though it's not something I eat a lot of. I may have to get one just for kicks though. I have a daughter who is obsessed with pineapple. Thanx for the info, and you're right. Doesn't everything just seem better at Disney?

1. Pre-park opening ADR(s)
2. Character meal(s)
3. Festival of the Lion King
4. Ride the monorail
5. Dole Whip(s);)

I love character meals... they really help make the trip for us.
I've never done a pre-park opening ADR before. But, we are doing breakfast very early at Tusker house this time. I think our ressie is right when the park opens, so we'll walk in a little before which is pretty neat! (I'll have to check thet times... I booked them so long ago!)

We must play in the dino dig area and we will forever be on a hunt for Max (my sons favorite character).

1. Lunch or dinner at crystal palace.
2. Go to DTD and shop at the disney home store(I have a mickey mouse bathroom).
3. Buy a disney xmas oranment.

That dino dig was a saving grace when we took DS when he was 2 1/2. He ran around that place like crazy and loved it! DH kept asking why we hadn't just taken him to the park up the street instead of all the way to WDW. :rotfl:

I have to have Keebler coconut chocolate chip cookies which I buy at Publix.
I do like those! But, I just buy them at the local grocer instead of all the way to WDW! :rotfl2:

What a cool "growth chart!"

I always make sure to book an early flight so we have a half day to do something.... and that something is always go to MK!!! There is just something so magical about it. One time we got there just as a parade was arriving in the area and we still managed to score front row viewing. Now that was magical!...

We also love...

2. Crystal Palace
3. Peter Pan
4. The place... you know... the one with the food...
5. Bringing home Christmas ornaments from DTD

DHS

Epcot
Soarin'
Japan shopping (I lived in Japan so it brings back memories)
Boulangerie Patisserie in France

These are mine for WDW. They apply to a visit to any disney park though (with some variations).

1- I have to go to the MK first
2- I have to get a first glimpse of the castle before I do anything else (then, I can't help myself and I always attack the MS shops)
3- My first attraction always has to be Splash Mountain
4- I always need to have a hot dog at Casey's Corner (do they still have the ones with cheddar cheese?)
5- at WDW, I always have to have a Turkey Leg
6- I always get a new pin stating the current year or current celebration of the park :D

We obviously have our rides that we ALWAYS do, but there are some other little things that are a MUST every time.

1. Grey Goose (for DH) and Grand Marnier (for me) slushies in France.

2. I always have to get my picture taken with the skeleton pirate outside World of Disney.

3. This is relatively new the last few trips, but it's become a must-do: Dole Whip Floats! :cloud9:

4. We also ALWAYS must do a super late MK EMH. Since we go in the summers mostly, that means staying at MK until 2 or 3 in the morning! Love it! Along those lines, we must always ride POTC a whole bunch of times!

My husband always has to go on "It's a Small World" and I used to have several things that I had to do but find that now it is just great to follow the grandkids where ever they want to go. But I do keep an eye out for "hidden Mickeys" just for old time sake! :littleangel:
