AWESOME SHOTS! I have the feeling you didn't get those on the automatic setting.......

Jeff, that shot with the lightning over Tomorrow Land is so cool! Did you get that just by chance? If not, then :worship:

That's why I love ya girl...always keeping me laughing!

Oh wouldn't I just look darling in a tink costume with little bells LMAO!!!!!!

Gdad GREAT wonderful shots... I bow down as not worthy!:worship:
Had a question about the lightening shot.. is that one of those HDR exposures I have been reading about?
I am just learning different techniques and was curious. I also noticed more noise than usual in the sky... was that due to the higher shutter speed? Whats your EXF on that photo? GREAT SHOT but I am trying to learn so I end up asking more questions than is healthy for me lol
Do you have a flickr account? I would love to check out your photos and exposure info!!!!! I can jot them down on a piece of paper to remember for my trip in July!

I am amazed at all the beautiful shots in this thread :worship:

LOVE that shot of Cindy in Spectro. There is no noise. Did you use 1600 ISO??? I have the same camera, so would love to see your settings!

Thanks! :goodvibes My settings were f/1.8, 50mm, 1/200sec, & ISO1600...however, I did give it one pass through the free community version of noiseware. I need to get a "real" plug-in to remove noise, but I absolutely despise post-processing. I have 2,000 pics from my April trip just mocking me right now!

Here's the original prior to cropping and noiseware, so you can see ISO1600

Thanks- Depends on what you mean by automatic- mostly my camera stays in aperture priority.

Thanks- There was a storm over there so I set up the tripod and took maybe a half dozen long exposure shots until I got one with lightning in it. ;)

Thanks- None are HDR- Noise is because of the processing- several of these were done with Topaz. Everything with full EXIF is on my Flickr site- link below.

Here is the unprocessed shot...

AS soon as I posted I saw your flckr account and have been stalking you over there this evening :lmao:

I was looking at your fireworks setting and the one with the single large firework you have the shutter speed at 26 seconds ~ WOW ~ I am making a game plan to try and snag a nice fireworks shot and I have the tripod and the remote shutter release but HOW do you time when to click?!

I have been trying to work out my timing and I am just not sure when I should click?! I have the settings that I should go with written down but the 26 seconds is one of the slowest I have seen for fireworks. With my luck the fireworks will have died out before I get the chance to click :lmao:

I responded to your question over THERE. IIRC that is the first shot that starts Illuminations- the 26 seconds was I think waiting for it to begin after they 'blow out' the torches. ;)

GDAD - I absoluelty love that second picture with the Steamboat at night... That is incredible... i am now looking at your Flickr account and am so jealous...

I just wish there was a way to get the photopass people to stop shooting during my long exposures.

I have a trusty little notebook I am writing different settings and notes in! A great fireworks shot (ok maybe not as great as yours) is one of the things I want to try and accomplish this trip!

I also want to get some great candid shots at the character meals! I always have the toughest time with those...bad lighting and everyone is in so much of a hurry I don't have the chance to play with the settings. As I am still REALLY new to photography it takes me longer to set up a shot LOL
I am going to TRY and put my camera on *P* and shoot in RAW for those meals and hope for the best. I have a canon G10 which is a GREAT point and shoot but its no DSLR

Gdad,

I absolutely love the second & the fourth photo here. Is the fourth picture of the haunted mansion? Forgive me I have only been there once But I am hooked and can't wait to go back. Your photos are just amazing. My sister (dismom+two) has asked me many times if I have seen certain photos that you have taken. She just loves your photos also. It's my turn to ask her.

Any more suggestions for night shots in the MK??????

Just more Tomorrowland.

I like Adventureland and the buildings on Main Street too. Think about what you like to see, or what kind of sight makes you say "Awww" and go from there! :thumbsup2

And one more - do you know where this is?

Isn't that one of the vignettes you see from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, somewhere above the Merchant of Venus store?

Ahh, don't tease me.... We'll be there Sunday and the word is that TTA is down for refurb...... :sad1:
