Leaving for FLA tomorrow and cruising Sunday. Haven't packed, haven't decided what to take, haven't been to bank, never lost the 20 lbs. I wanted to lose before our trip, procrastinated on haircut and now my regular girl is off until Monday. I am so excited but not doing a darn thing to get ready. Maybe I'm afraid of illness like last cruise in January? The worst part is I don't get to go home and boss and bully family with my "What? You're not packed yet!!" speech and it's really quite moving. LOL

You seem to be taking things in stride! Maybe it's to your advantage; You'll be up so late that you'll sleep really good. I, on the otherhand have everything all ready, and will probably get six hours sleep TOTAL over the next two nights!(lol):Pinkbounc

I dug the suitcase out of the attic and dusted it off. ...didn't put a thing in it yet.

Time to log off and start packing...

..our plane doesn't leave Atlantic City 'till 5pm tomorrow, so I have a little time left.

See you all on Sunday.

Told my co-worker today that I have to remember to bring bubbles on the cruise. She said, "I thought that you were taking your wife?"

aaah ! No, bubbles, as in blowing bubbles when we set sail !!!!

True story !

Lost 7 pounds in the last month, gained 2 back yesterday. I give up !

Were'nt you the one taking the AutoTrain? Did you decide it was too risky with timing?

Well Sandee since I'm just a hop, skip and a jump away from you I could come over and pack for you but you may open your suitcases on the ship and find me instead of your clothes!! ;)

Yes Natt, I dumped the Auto Train. Due to a TA booking error, I was able to get a full refund. The TA waited 2 weeks to book the train and by that time the price had risen. I refused to pay for their mistake. The TA ate the ticket(s) and I went with Spirit instead. (the train has arrived early or on-time every day this week though).

Spirit was offering flights $$ equal to Amtrak. But a day after I bought my "non refundable" tickets, Sprit dropped the price almost $ 120 (for 3 RT tickets total). The price stayed down for a couple of weeks then rose back to what I paid for them.

All in all, it's costing me about $ 300 more to fly. One night for the hotel and the cost of the rental car. At least I won't be sitting on a train hoping it arrives on time.

Last week, Spirit flight 1019 left two hours late. Let's hope it flys on time tomorrow.

sandee, snap out of it, get out pen and paper and start making lists. Close your eyes and picture the color of the ocean from the ship. Get busy and get happy.:)

I'm flying Spirit in August the morning of our cruise, I don't want to hear about any of these 2 hour late flights! Was the flight late because of the bad weather we had here in South Jersey yesterday?

It is a 5pm flight ACY to MCO, and a return flight (same plane) MCO to ACY at 8:15 pm - Saturdays only during March 2003.

I called Spirit last week when I "tracked" the flight and saw that it was 2 hours late and asked "why?". They said that the plane arrived late from wherever it came from. This also made the return trip 2 hours late.

We'll see how they do this week on their second attempt. Usually they are on time.

In August of 2001 I flew AirTran to MCO out of PHL (11am flight on a Tuesday- arriving 2 pm). The plane was on-time or early each time 4 months prior to our flight. Well....(for my flight) the plane came in late with a blown engine. They had to fly in another plane from Pittsburgh - 5 hours later !!!!. We arrived at WDW 8:30 that night.\

...now I must return to packing. My pager (which is actually built into my watch) - pages me each time somebody replies to one of my posts. I just can't keep away from the DIS boards. HELP ;)

Well, you could be up here... it snowed AGAIN yesterday. I'm so tired of snow. My Lacrosse, baseball and softball teams have their first games in two weeks, and there is still about 1 1/2 feet of snow on ground. UGGGGHHHH.

Wish I were going now!

:D

I never did get the urge to pack until 10 p.m. By midnight I was done and now I'm going to unpack about half of it. I took a vow not to overpack. I wish all of you a safe trip....see you soon. As for you Luckymommyx2, if I get this stuff unpacked that I don't really need, I'll have l lots of room for you! To all our friends in New England, I promise to toast you all with a Konk Cooler...gotta go clean my house. Nothing worse then coming home depressed about vac. ending and walking into a cluttered house.
