What's with this weather here today?

A foggy, drizzly morning, about 50º, temps rose to 62º this afternoon, humidty about 95%. Felt like a late fall evening in Orlando, and it is Jan 2nd in Chicago!!!!! Still is 60º now!!!! Should be more like

But alas, all seems like it will get normal again VERY soon!!!! Supposed to get snow by Sunday, about 5-8 inches, followed by an Artic blast, dropping temps to more seasonal lows of maybe -5º

How is your weather today? Hope #1 Disney Fan, from Winnipeg, sees this, they are supposed to get down to -22º tomorrow.

South FL was gorgeous today. I thought it was a little strange in VA last week when we didn't need jackets 2 days. Even on the beach!

We just washed the ambulance outside on the pad. 62 degrees at 9:30 in the evening on Jan 2nd. I cannot wait to see how we PAY for this. (SNOW) Oh well maybe I will be off shift and at home.

I know Dan, I just took the garbage/recycling bins out and I felt like taking a walk! Th eonly bad thing about this weather is that the dogs track in mud everywhere!

BTW, where did you hear 5-8" of snow???!!! I have seen snow in the forecast but no actual predictions. Great, a nice snow storm just in time to drive DD to preschool and for DH to fight his way down Lake-Cook Rd Mon morning.

It was in the upper 60's and sunny here yesterday and today and they are calling for the same tomorrow. I'm hoping to get in a good walk outside tomorrow. It just doesn't feel like the 2nd of January, but I'm not complaining.

Hi Dan,

Only about 60 degrees here. And rainy. Very rainy. Typical for this time of year in south Orange County, CA. But last week it was unseasonably warm and above 70. Go figure.

Hello from Winnipeg! You are absolutely correct Dan, it is frigid here today!! (And I'm impressed you were checking our weather! ) Currently (at the warm part of the day, haha) there is a windchill of -36 F. Brrrrrr!

We had a fair bit of snow last night as well, and then combined with really high winds it blew it around and made some HUGE drifts. Walking through the parking lot at my boyfriend's apartment today, some cars had drifts half way up the doors.... yikes. Driving, you have to try to stay in "tracks" to try to avoid getting stuck, especially in the drifts. It sure is winter here today! The daytime *highs* are not going above zero F for a week. Just in time to start walking back and forth across campus this week!

My mom told me this morning that the last time it was this warm at the beginning of the year that we ended that same year very cold. So look what we have to look forward to next winter.

On the Weather Channel, Rebecca. Today now, they are predicting 3-9 inches, 3 in southern areas of the city, 9 in the northern.

Lynne, you can always make me feel like it's Florida weather here in Chaicago, LOL, at least at this time of the year. Are the sidewalks and campus paths heated there?

We have the same weather forecast as you, Dan just a few hours later!!! It's suppose to be only 8 degrees for a high by Tuesday!! I think it's time for my boys to stop wearing their fall jackets!!!

<font color=navy>Blue skies here, but extremely windy, and cold for us - it's 57ºF. It rained yesterday, which was a welcome change from the pretty warm temps we had while visiting El Paso (we had wanted snow, but the temps hovered in the mid 50's there for our whole vacation).

I'm sure the folks visiting Disneyland today are wrapped up cuz it's cold! And no fireworks - too windy.
