What's with the Matterhorn today?

The Matterhorn has two separate tracks and only one is affected. So the ride is operating but at half capacity so waits will be longer, fewer FPs etc.

Is the other track going to open sooner than the rockwork is finished? Or do they need to be on the ledges that contain the track or something to repair the damage?

I mean... half the Matterhorn is better than none of the Matterhorn, I suppose. I just have a newbie to the Disney Parks coming along and would’ve loved to have them experience both sides. We’ll be there in 11 days... not sure if they’ll have stuff up to snuff by then or not...

I don’t have any insider information, but I doubt they would reopen it. Even if the tracks weren’t affected, they’ll have construction workers over there, plus they don’t want to take the risk that another chunk could fall and someone get hurt this time. Disney’s having a rough summer
