What's with lime green ribbons?

All you veterans out there, I need an answer, please! What does wearing a lime green ribbon, lanyard or shirt mean while on Disney cruises? Thanks!

Lime green ribbons identify you as one of the DIS Board members!! After months of "speaking" with others going on our cruise, it was really fun to put a face to the name! We wore lime green ribbons and found alot of members in the terminal! Just a fun thing to do!!

We had a lot of DISers on the Inaugural Western Cruise and one of them made green lanyards for each of us with our screen name and real name (a lot of work which was much appreciated). It was great seeing someone walk toward you with a green lanyard and knowing you had a "friend" there.

The ribbons and shirts do the same thing. They identify "friends".

Thanks for such a quick reply, JoBro2! My DH, DMIL, and I will be wearing lime green lanyards that were graciously given to me at no charge, not even shipping costs, by another member on this board (it's Joe & Joanne) That was a real blessing to us, so now others from the board will recognize us and we have something to carry our photo ID and KTTW card in! Again, thanks for hollering so soon! LOL

I found my lime green ribbons at Walmart...in the sewing section..just got one yard and cut it up!

When we went on the Magic last May, I found a lime green tank top with blue poka dots at the Disney store. Posted on this board that I would be wearing it, and I had more people come up to me and introduce themselves. Most had posted on the board, but there were some who only read too. It really made my trip that much more special.
