what's with all the unauthorized email access lately???

The thing that concerns me is they now can send you an email and if you email client is set to show the email in the preview pane they can install or run software on your computer w/o you clicking on it. So it is much more serious then they say. Typical business practice, play it down so it seams like it is inconsequential. SO....if your email client is set to preview or show the email w/o you actually opening it you will have issues. If you use thunderbird for email click on view, click on layout and uncheck message pane. Then just delete any emails from people or companies you are not directly expecting email from. This happened to Nations Bank a couple years ago, they said only email addresses were lost but then they quietly started to cancel credit cards and issue new numbers... Nobody is honest. With a big company like Disney why are they not sending out their own junk mail?

Chase Bank sent me one this morning, they said it was due to an outside vendor named Epsilon, so it sounds like the same breach as the others. They swear it was just email addresses and not account info, but I guess we'll see.

Just wanted to add, this was on my local news in Detroit. I also got an email from Best Buy, which is ridiculous because I opted out of their emails 2 months ago!
And today alone I have gotten 3 spam emails. (have never gotten one before on this account) Let the fun begin!!!

Now I got one from Target and Walgreens. When will it end?

As of now I am up to 6 companies :headache:

I rarely get spam to my personal account, today I had an email in my junk folder that looked like it was from DHL with shipping information. No tracking number in the email, just a zip file attached! DELETE!!!

I have gotten so many of these and am totally annoyed I have had 5 this week.

Okay, I just got ANOTHER warning today.... this one from Chase. This really worries me, of course.
:sad2:

same here they are all annoying and making me  at the same time:headache:

On our local news today they mentioned that some companies (including Disney) had there email addresses hacked into. I'm not sure when this happened but maybe this has something to do with it.

Sorry I didn't know it was posted already.

I have gotten them from Disney, US Bank, Chase, Target, Best Buy Rewards, Target, and Walgreen's.

This is just completely unaccaptable especially since two of this I do financial business through.
