What's up with the wall and the COP?

I'm heading off to Disney on Wednesday the 19th (Yaaaaaahooooooo!!!!). I was just wondering if that wall near the castle will still be there, and if it is, what is it covering? The Walt and Mickey statue? Also, I've gotten so many mixed comments on whether the Carousel of Progress is currently running or not. It's one of my favorites!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the wall will still be there. It is covering construction in the hub. They are redesigning the area. I have pictures of the area in my photo.epson.com site listed below. Look in the Cinderella Castle album.

COP is still running.

I went to MK September 2004. I remember a wall, but I don't think it was in front of the Castle. I think the wall was over near Toontown. My cousin was there in Thanksgiving 2004 and she didn't see a wall around the Castle either.

Also, and I'm not 100% sure on this or not, but i think that when we where there checking out the wall last weekend it looked as if they'd built a wooden box around the Partners statue. Again it was after dark so I'm not 100% sure. If we go this weekend I'll make sure to check and see. All in all I was still able to take pictures of the castle without the wall, I don't even remember being able to see it from the start of Main Street.

I just found out about the hidden mickey on Walt's ring and I was excited to see it.

We just got back from Walt Disney World and the Carousel Of Progress was open both days we were at the Magic Kingdom. We were really excited to see it operating! It's one of our all time favorites.

I'll be there on March 5th and it would be really nice if those green walls were down by then. I feel bad for the people who are there for their first time - what a way to remember Cinderella Castle. Although I admit it's not as bad as the Peptobismol Cake, blah!

I hope COP is running when I'm there, it's one of my favorites! *crosses fingers*
