What's up with the Fur Real Friends?

My daughter fell in love with the white one they had at Once Upon a Toy at WDW. But it was $50 bucks there and I figured I could get it cheaper at home. Well evidently it is a pretty hot toy and while Toys R Us sells it cheaper ($30) they never had more than a couple and never the white. toysrus.com and faoschwarz (48 bucks) are the only ones I can find it online, but they are both out of stock anyway. So when my daughter loved this toy and played with it for over an hour and kept telling this cat "I love you", did she know it would be impossible to find once we got home? I know it's just going to get worse closer to Christmas, too! Venting............

A friend of mine had commented that she had a hard time finding it for her daughter so I ordered the gray one for Ripley at TRU.com I was lucky that she did not want the white one.

I had the same problem! DS's are both cat lovers and fell in love with these when they first saw them. The Toys R Us/Amazon site never has them available when I look, nor does FAO Schwarz .

In desperation, I looked on ebay, and BOY do they have tons! If you scroll through to the newer/just listed ones, you can find some with no bids yet that have the buy it now option, I was lucky, one seller had both colors that I wanted, $45 each, so I saved on shipping, rather than buying from two seperate people.

I bought my DD one on Amazon a few weeks ago. There was a review by someone who bought one for her MIL who has Alzheimers and is in a nursing home. It made quite a difference and so the family bought all they could find and donated them to the nursing home. it was very touching to read.

I got one for my ds and his little friend..... they had the white one but I figured it would get dirty easily and got the other 2 colors instead. Sorry you are having a hard time finding it.

This is definitely the hot girl toy of the christmas season
extremely hard to find
I knew 7 yr old dd wanted this for christmas and I had a feeling this was the "it" toy so I purchased it a month ago from toys r us for $26.99
I got the grey one & think the eyes look possessed
I had to call around to find one
I think the problem is going to be this
one toys r us told me they were all out & had given out 70 rainchecks that week so when the shipment comes in they just call rainchecks and the cats don't hit the shelves
