I tried really hard to find a one piece swimsuit, but came up empty handed. So I gave in and bought a cute two piece. As DD says, one that show my belly. What happened to the cute one pieces?

Last year I had trouble finding a good one piece. I ended up with a two piece, but the top is a tank, so it covers my big ole belly.

Its been over a year since I bought a suit. Its a tankini (?) and I really love it. I looked for a regular two piece last year and all of the bottoms were so small - string bikinis. Nope, I definitely want more coverage than that! LOL!!

Oh my! If I showed my belly my boys would go to a different hotel's pool!!!!:teeth:

Yeah, what did happen to all the nice one-pieces?? I guess the manufacturers all assume that all the ladies want to show every inch of ourselves, when in fact some of us, like myself, don't! I like the coverage because I am self-conscious (sp?), but I always have such a hard time finding a one-piece swimsuit that suits my personal style and shape.

if your out there I miss ya buddy

You can always get racing suits at a sporting goods store, like Dick's. They are expensive but hold up well.

Hmmm I agree that bathing suits are an annoyance. I must own close to 15 different bathing suits..... In fact just last night I bought one...one I didn't need let me point out, but it was on sale   I have to say that it is really cute though. It is a two piece in a sort of bluish greenish color and there is a multicolored blue/green shades crocheted overlay. The sides of the bottom have ties on them. The only thing that I HATE is those stupid triangley tops. I never feel "covered" enough. I took it home and tried it on and said to my boyfriend, ok be honest with me, don't just ogle me and say you love it :smooth: tell me if you honestly think that I would look like one of those women who I would point out at the beach and say something like "she should NOT be wearing that." It passed his oh-so-objective  scrutiny, but I am still not sure. The tags are still on it. It was such a good price I might just keep it for the bottoms, or maybe it will be a backyard only bathing suit ;).

For my daughter I had to go to 2 stores before I found a one piece suit for her. At 4 years old I don't htink it is really appropriate or necessary for her to be walking around in a bikini bathing suit. For me I have a awesome swimsuit outlet near me that has the bathing suits I like..the one piece with the shorts attached.

I saw some really nice one pieces at JC Penney's today. They looked cute but we were just passing by so I didn't do what one would call deep looking!

Bathing suits? EEK! Is summer starting early this year? In today's mail I received information about summer camp at one of the public schools. Now I'm reading about bathing suits? Did I oversleep and maybe it's May? LOL! I'm not ready for bathing suit season yet!

I just went and bought 2 bathing suits for our upcoming trip and for the summer. I must have tried on 30 bathing suits before finally deciding on something. The price was outragous. I spent more on my bathing suits than I did on 3 pairs of shorts and 6 shirts for summer. :earseek:

Victorias Secret actually has a LOT of different styles, from skimpy to full coverage, and they have a lot of one peices and tankinis.

Speedos are also nice!

SAw some at Victoria Secret that I liked. Do you know if they also carry them in the stores?

No, Victoria's Secret doesn't have swimsuits in their stores. I've ordered swimsuits from their catalog before and sent them all back. It's so difficult to find one that fits right from a catalog. When I shop at a store I have to try a bunch on before I find one that fits right. I got a great one piece by Raisins from Dillards last August for 75% off. In fact I'm wearing it right now as I type. I was at a water park all day with dd then went to Blockbuster and rented Freaky Friday. We just got done watching it. Funny movie.
