What's Up Today?

Mike , I'm so sorry this is happening to you .

I hope that because of this you end up in a job with better pay and better hours.

I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!!!!

ok so just trying to keep up with folks! How's everyone tonight.

My boss has been on vacation for 2 weeks and comes back next week. I cover his shifts ( and mine ) when he's away. UUGGHHHH Can't wait for a weekend YAYYY .

Had to send one of my guys down to front office for a pee test today! Hate that.

Ok so no work and no drag shows after Saturday. I get two days off Hurray !!

Hope everyone else is doing fine?

Mike , whats up with work?

Business as usual for now, except the phone is ringing off the hook every day with people asking questions.......Like I know anything! :confused3

I'm gonna start answering the phone "Four Seasons, how may I help you?" :rotfl2:

Drag shows in Boston? Where? Tell me that neon sign for the naked eye is not still in the Combat Zone! I know Napoleon's has closed, but what about that dump in the Combat Zone that used to decorate for EVERY holiday?

I thought I would resurrect one of my favorite threads!

Eating: I just finished eating my Lean Cuisine breakfast, small but yummy.

Drinking: Green tea, completely free of and -OH group, but still loaded with a drug of choice, CAFFEINE!

Watching: Big sigh, in the background I have on MSNBC, watching/listening to their rotating radio hosts filling in for the fired Don Imus, whom I think they fired for all the wrong and very cowardly reasons, but they actually grabbed my attention when last week they invited Michael Smerconish, a beloved Philadelphia radio host, but today the program, hosted by Stephanie Miller, is unwatchable. Who the heck is she? Never, I don't care.

Plans for the day: I have a workshop to host in Rochester, NY this week, where I'll be training 30-some pastors, so I'd better do some work!

Next Vacation: Jeez, here we go again, planning three vacations:

A romantic get-away in Sept/October at OKW for DP and I.

A Commando-style my-side-of-the family vacation first week in December, complete with 4 year old neice!

And a cruise with DP's side of the family next March.

What are you all up to?

Eating: Nothing to eat yet today. I know I know not a good thing for my blood sugar. I don't have much of an appetite, my allergies have been horrible with post nasal drip......I'll save you the details. I'll probably have some soup for lunch.

Drinking: Just finished my coffee (light no sugar). I'm about to pour a glass of Minute Maid Light Limeade.

Watching: Glory Road on Starz.

Plans for the day: I have to go to the tailor/dry cleaner to get some alterations done. I need to go to the AAA store for a plug adapter. I need to go luggage shopping. I will then spend some time in my stained glass studio, gutting glass and assemebling a custom LGBT Pride piece. :rolleyes1 Stained glass makes great gifts :rolleyes1
I am also in the process of finding a part time or even a traditional job.

Next Vacation: Next month, 11 night DCL Med cruise with 2 days pre and 5 days post cruise in Barcelona. Then we're home a month then to DL for 5 nights in July.

With trips like this I really wouldn't worry about a "regular" job; you're doing fine! :thumbsup2

Now, go eat something!

Yeah, but with vacations like those I need a "real" job, or I will go bankrupt.

I ate a bowl of Trader Joe's Mango and Apricot cheerios like cereal. And washed it down with a can of Coke Zero.

EATING: I am in the process of preparing dinner, which includes: grilled huli-huli chicken, paprika mushrooms, corn on the cob, and a mixed green salad topped with roasted pecans and goat cheese in a vinagrette dressing. For dessert: fresh strawberries with whipped cream. The libation: a nice little pinot noir. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

WATCHING: The Phillies lose to the Giants :mad::mad:

DRINKING: A cranberry, vodka, lemon, seltzer thing that is supposed to be medicinal (let's not go there) and I thought I'd do an Emeril and kick it up a notch. :confused3

Now Huli Huli chicken is not something I hear mentioned every day. Do you make your own or use a prepared version? If it wasn't a 3+ hour drive, I'd come taste test.

I am drinking a minute maid light limeade. Haven't eaten dinner yet, we had a late lunch at a chain resturant :yawn. I'm wacthing Cayla sleep, she is working tonight, and taking her pre-work nap....I dont have the heart to disturb and put a TV on.

Viki, Medicinal:rolleyes1.....well they are clear fluids

Oh, the Huli-Huli chicken is all homemade, including garlic, ginger, ketchup, seasoned rice vinegar, soy sauce, and brown sugar. I splice, dice, and cook until bubbly and then use as a 4-hour marinade (or, over night for the second batch, even yummier). Thanks for asking!

Good morning all :)

Eating: Its too early for me to really eat anything, might grab something when I get to work

Drinking: Pepsi, or Coke or what ever cola product that was in the fridge when I woke up this morning.

Plans for the Day: Working and trying to get my next week schedule down for the new SBux that is opening..so far its monday at either 10 or 11 to unload boxes...ahh the joys of retail and management.

Next Vacation Planning: Disney in Nov - Dec. who ever said that planning a grand gathering was gonna be easy LIED.. this one cant go, that one is not leaving the house for a month, and if one more person tells me we will just do what ever you are doing with really making a decision well im apt to loose what little is left of my sanity.

Well that is about it for the day..

Talk to you all soon

Adam

Drinking : Coffee

Eating : I'll wait till I get to work

Vacation Planning : Well I leave on Monday for my annual trip to Cedar Point, and am just reading up on how the newest roller coaster will not be open when I get there, structual problems..... :scared1:

Oh well, it is what it is....

Pretty sure we will just save up and go back in September.

Now I know how all of you feel when you "save all year to get to Disney World only to find out that Space Mountain is down for rehab".

Hi Mike!

Did you hear the news yet about Cedar Points Maverick?

The Maverick will not be open for park-goers when Cedar Point opens on May 12, park officials announced.

Officials said the park's 17th roller coaster will be delayed until early June to make modifications to the coaster's steel track.

The Maverick reaches 70 mph, and then drops 105 feet to a 95-degree angle. The Maverick will then stay close to the ground.

I dont know if you are planning on going to CP. Just a heads up for people!

If I read your post Id know what was going on...lol...sorry just got up!
