First, thanks for sharing the information on this, as it will help me choose for later date fP+. Do you feel you need the FP+ after the party begins (with admittance at 4pm) though? We've always found the standby lines to be rather reasonable at that time.
The party doesn't actually start until 7pm and fp's are not available after that time. But from what I understand, they aren't really needed either. There have been quite a few reports that even 7DMT is only a 15 minute wait during the party so there's really no need for fp's.
Have you used fp's during the 4-7pm window and do you think they are really needed?
Wow, so not only does the party infringe on your allotted time in the park by shortening the hours to 7PM exit but it's also now reducing the FP hours as well?

Not good.
I think it's just trying to fix a mistake that shouldn't have been made to begin with. If you are a day guest and you are supposed to leave by 7pm, then you can't have a fp for 6-7pm because if you get in the line right at 7pm, you will not be through the line, done with the ride and out of the park by 7pm.
From what I gather, last year, they left the fp's alone and between the fp's and the standby line, they were escorting day guests out of the park after 9pm. I really think they are just trying to keep this from happening again.
Another way to handle that is to close off the standby line in time to get those who are already in line through the ride and out of the park by 7pm, but then you'll have a bunch of people complaining about the standby line being closed before 7pm and guests should be allowed to get in line up until that time, etc.
There doesn't seem to be any way to make everyone happy with this.
I'm curious if people who have
MNSSHP tix & made FPP in the 4-7 window were bumped / cancelled as well...
We are going to the party on Sept. 27 and Oct 1. All of our fastpass windows ended by 6:30pm. None of our fp's were canceled or changed.
