Man, I would way, way rather get to spend time in Walt's apartment on Main Street than the Dream Suite! DL's first structure and the place Walt slept while he was creating DL...
I know CMs on rare occasions are given the honor of getting to visit the room but you could work there for 20 years and not get the opportunity.
Dream Suite is sweet but Walt's lair, that is pure Disney history!
AGREE 100%! Wow... I've had dreams where I've been in that apt - actually saw the original furniture, (in my dreams it was like a cream colored linen with really, really fine pinstripes of various colors throughout) and sat on the chesterfield and by the chair with ottoman (if there was such a thing!) I still recall the scent of the apartment, from my dream, too. The lady giving the tour turned out to be Lillian. I'd not seen photos of her, but when I later looked her up (on the internet), I was really spooked. Not kidding. The lady of my dreams seemed to be the same as Lillian Disney. (In my dream, I was with a tour group, and this lady knew I should be with them, but did make me feel really comfortable to sit and chat with her a bit, and touch/feel the furniture. I was in awe of it all.) After I met with her, in my dreams, I ran back to the tour bus, but couldn't find anyone in my group, LOL. But I do feel I met her in my dreams. I'm not a psychic, nor do I pretend to be. I'm not crazy, either. But I do believe that dreams have a way of speaking to us, if we listen to them. Recently, I had a dream about an acquaintance of mine; I had not seen her for over 5 years or more... she had been in a wheelchair when I knew her. When I dreamed of her, she was *very* happy, healthy, and walking... 2 days later I read her obituary and although saddened, just knew she was o.k. in Heaven. I just knew it. I don't know what the pull is for me for
Disneyland. I live in Alberta, Canada, and have been there 7 times now in my entire life, and feel very lucky to have done so in my 39 years. Something pulls me there like no other place. I dream of it a lot. In my dreams, it isn't really Disneyland; it's close, but not quite the same... and sadly, in my dreams, it is always the last day of our parkhopper, and we're heading home the next day, then I realize we haven't ridden the rides yet that we wanted to. (Like the Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, etc.) The rides are always different though, and sadly, nothing looks quite right in the dreams.
(Do you DISers who are local know how lucky you are to be in that area?) You are very, very blessed. Please take a whiff of the fresh air, and take a look at the bright blue skies when you're there the next time, for me. In a cold, Northern climate, with icy roads, tons of snow, and bone chilling grey cold, with icy winds blowing, nothing could seem more comforting now to me than a warm cuppa' Disneyland.

I think the pull may be in the fact that Mr. Disney himself has built an entire beautiful community/land based on dreams. I have taught my kids that when they dream,
all things are possible. I think maybe, what with our having a 12 year old son with an anxiety disorder/aspergers, it is especially important to my family to know that dreams should always prevail. Thanks, Mr. Walter Disney, for showing us what life is all about.
