what's the worst thing you've eaten at wdw?

Dinner at Chef Mickey's sticks out in my mind as my most disappointing meal ever in WDW. I am fairly easy to please when it comes to food but nothing I tried tasted good - and I kept going back to find something I liked. I know I'm in the minority here!

omg that mac and cheese looks awful and if tasted as bad as it looks (shiver). we were a lot luckier during our december 09 trip but i read the replies to this thread before booking and tried to remember them when ordering. :goodvibes

I know this is about bad meal you ate and agree with Tony Town Square, but the absolute worst thing I ever put in my mouth was the Beverly from Ice Station Cool. I do not mean to offend anyone but does anyone really like this?

That is absolutley true! I love the Ice Station Cool...But the Beverly is vile!

I was NOT a fan of the grapefruit cake at the Brown Derby. I had no choice for dessert because we were doing Dining With An Imagineer, and that was what was offerred at the time.

Some people love it, though; I just don't like grapefruit in general.

We ate a burger at Cosmic Rays once and it was awful (and it was inexplicably grey)! From now on, we stick with the BBQ chicken and ribs. :thumbsup2

Anything I have had at ABC Comm. Blech.

Chicken Mole' from San Angel Inn. We LOVE this restaurant, but the Mole' was disgusting. To be fair, it was my first time tasting it ever, so not sure if the SAI version was gross, or if I just don't like Mole'.

Maya Grille - breakfast. Dirty, stuff was soggy, running out, etc. Ick.

We are leaving for our first Disney vacation in a little over two weeks, I have to say this thread is making me nervous about the food at Disney. I have never heard a negative thing until this thread! Almost every place we are planning to eat is listed in this thread.

I was very disappointed by the Cuban restaurant at the shopping area of Disney, I forget the name. It was very expensive, and equally bland. It didn't help that I'd eaten at Wolfgang Puck's restaurant just next door the previous night, which was one of the best meals I've ever eaten! Yum!

The thing is what some people hate, others love

example: we at at Kouzzina.. it was AWESOME!
when we left, two guys outside asked how our meal was.. we said it was amazing.. and he said theirs was horrible.. they were in there the same time we were...

So, don't worry about this thread... go and decide for yourself.

Don't worry about it. You'll almost certainly have more good experiences than bad. Remember, there is a big difference between someone not liking something because of their own personal tastes vs. something that is just plain, ol' bad (ie, preparation/handling problems). Even the finest restaurants in the world receive some negative comments on message boards.

I wouldn't say that they were horrible but I was really disappointed in the school bread from Norway and the cinnamon buns from the Main Street Bakery. After reading all the reviews here I guess I expected them to be a lot better than they were. And one more thing: turkey legs! DH loves them but I can't even stand the smell of them, he likes to stash one in the fridge in the room for a snack and I just leave and go for a walk while he's gobbling. Gobble, gobble. Get it? :rotfl: Other than those 3 things, I like everything else.

Everything I tried last July at Le Cellier. I had the Filet, the cheese soup and the choclate mousse.. The first two were so incredible salty- they were impossible to eat( kinda like a mouthful of ocean.) The dessert was cute but tasteless. I was so excited as well after all the hype here..
Oh and BTW, I tried the soup again when I was at F&W in Oct- it was just as salty.

I have to agree. We have eaten at LeCellier almost every trip and loved it until our recent trip in Nov./Dec. 2009. The food was really salty - what happened?? Why all the salt?? :sad2:

Trails end buffet...we were so excited to try this meal, and it ended up being the worse meal of the trip. Everything was bad! Will not return EVER!!

You have to experience these things for yourself. For example, I like Chef Mickey's, but a good number of the people here don't. I can't stand Garden Grill or Crystal Palace, but there are plenty who like them both.

To each their own. Don't worry :)

I've never had a bad meal at WDW.

Us too really.....but one thing I absolutely hated was on the Boma dinner buffet:
Bobotie....it was truly horrible! but I'm sure others love it.....thank goodness there were plenty of other things to eat there. :upsidedow
