What's the top floor at POP like?

Planning, maybe, an August WDW vacation, staying at POP. We want to go back there for nostalgic reasons, and we loved the resort our first two stays.

With the recent room renovations, I'm considering a top floor. With the hard floor surface I don't want to hear people walking or stomping overhead. It was never an issue for us when it was carpet (way back in 2010 and 2011 :) )

Besides the elevator or stairs, is there any other negative or benefit to the 4th floor?

Thanks!
Dan

We have no fear of snakes or bugs or anything. Our first two stays were ground floor. We loved it, but I don't want to be woken up by tap tap tap stomp stomp stomp. :)

Stayed in a room on the 4th floor (bldg 9) in January. No issues from anyone in my party, but we aren't as sensitive to noises as others can be. Occasionally overheard people from the room next door, nothing major though. Loudest people we heard were the ones on the hallway walking past our room - that's always luck of the draw though.

We love the top floor...much quieter, and no ducks wandering into our rooms :)

When at Pop, we have always gotten the top floor and never regretted it.

I always request (and have gotten) top floor at Pop for my solo trips. I prefer the quiet and the extra cardio using the stairs all the time.
