What's the strangest thing your dog has ever eaten?

Our 9-1/2 month Golden Ret/Std. Poodle mix will eat ANYTHING!!! A few weeks ago, she threw up a beer cap. She ate the feet off of DD's rubber or plastic "Goofy", she ate "eeyore's" tail, tried to eat our TV remote control - some things are worth fighting for though, we were able to save it. For a treat she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES baby carrots & frozen green beans. She tried to eat my Creative Memories scissors. Q-tips, DS homework. She steals & eats so much that I've drawn a blank & can't think of it all.

My mom's dog ate the plastic casing off of an exacto type knife one time. Around that same time he also ate my small can of mace. He never did puncture through the can though.

My old dog would eat birds, it was so disguiesting, and sad! 1 time a baby bird was still alive, my mom just saved it, and i took care of it till 1 day it just flew away, b/c its wing was broken at the begging b/c of my dog.:(

Our dogs have eaten a variety of things. one dog of ours Sally used to eat lollypops with the kids..funniest thing she would sit and suck on them with it in her mouth. I have a photo of her with the stick out the side of her mouth, she never choked on them or ate them, just left them on the floor..smart dog!!

Several of our dogs have thought the kitty box was a snack box....yuuuuucccckk

Ok, you were warned: My Golden Retriever has eaten some really disgusting things

1. My husband's tennis shoe insoles (hey, you've never seen his feet!)
2. My husband's underwear (but only the "front part")
3. Used um, ah...sanitary items
4. Dirty, poopy diapers

Stupid dog still thinks his sloppy kisses are welcomed, too...

My dog Jasper is 14 and also half lab half collie.
He eats EVERYTHING!
He has eaten a box of crayons, his own hair from the trashcan, eggshells, bags of bagels, bags of donuts, trash, everything.

So far our 5 yo Beagle mix Disney has digested cat litter, a plastic candycane filled with reeses penut butter cups (including the foil wrappers) and the worst one was when he ate 16 advil and the bottle they came in. Had to get his stomach pumped for that one.

My old dog ate two pepperoni sausauges wrapped into saran wrap, yuck! :crazy2: I guess seeing as she wasn't capable of unwrapping them, she figured they would taste just fine.

Wow It must be that lab/collie mix. My "Blue" eats everything under the sun.

My last dog, a Cocker Spaniel, ate my sister-in-laws CZ diamont pendant.

My current dog ate some low carb chocolate bars, luckily she puked it all up. It smelled like chocolate. My sister-in-law said "well it least it was low carb."

How funny are these stories!

Harley doesn't eat anything strange yet, course he's so little it's hard for him to eat much of anything. (we haven't found a brand of treats yet that he can actually eat, so we've moved to treating him with Science Diet small bites!)

Though he does enjoy finding the dead roaches around, pulling them into pieces, and leaving them other places in the house. I doubt he's actually eaten any of them, but he's left behind heads and torsos in our bed, on the couch, in his crate, and all around the carpet... ICK.

One Thanksgiving about 15 years ago, DW was preparing dinner rolls and let the dough set out to rise. Our springer spaniel decided that they tasted good raw and ate the dough for about two dozen rolls. The bad part was when the dough expanded in her stomach:eek: I had never seen a dog so sick. BTW, it's hard to find an emergency vet on Thanksgiving night.

Shadow, our Silky Terrier, will eat anything lying around. He has eaten dryer lint from the trash (we had to get a taller can......but he knows and tries to knock it over),
He's also a poop eater........any kind. We have deer that visit the back yard, and rabbits. We also don't have to clean up after him after he goes outside, or the occasional accident inside
....just the crumbs :crazy2:

My chocolate Lab (CHIP) has eaten several pairs of underwear (all clean straight out of dryer), a full tv remote and batteries, lipstick, candles, dryer sheets, kitchen towels and my McFish sandwich straight off the counter.
