Whats the rarest Character Youve accually met ....and where did you meet them

For me personally, it was Launchpad McQuack. His location was even MORE rare. He was staying in the garden right next to City Hall at the Magic Kingdom! I couldn't believe my eyes!

i've only really been going for 2 years or so as an adult, so this is just in my experience (from what i know):

those are all i've seen on a typical day.. excluding parties

Kida from Atlantis at MGM along the walkway between Sounds Dangerous and the Hat. Also met Meg right next to her.

I would have to say Kermit and Miss Piggy. That was in 2003, and we have been back 4 times since and never saw them again.

Would Geppeto and Pinocchio be rare? We were eating dinner one time and they came by and sat with us. It was sooooo much fun.

Our rarest find for us at Disney World was Walrus whom we saw during MNSSHP last year. He was on the path from ToonTown to Tomorrowland.

Outside of that, our main finds have been at DL and our rarest were LaunchPad McQuack, Don Karnage, Hades, and Shan-Yu.

Some of my rarest were two of the three Little Pigs (Fiddler and Practical Pig) - saw them in front of the Castle back in November 2004. Never saw them again!

Other favorite rarities were the Snow White Witch (the old hag with the apple!) at the Halloween parties in 2003; Thumper at the Halloween parties in 2004; Hyacinth Hippo and Mme Upanova at Epcot in May 2006; and Stromboli (met recently in Town Square).

Tough question. The rarest ones I've met are probably the ones I met in the 1990s and haven't seen since- Bo Peep, Gadget, Maid Marian, Roger Rabbit, Gov. Ratcliffe with Percy in his arms, and some of the Ninja Turtles characters.

More recently, some of my favorite rare characters I've found lately include Jane Porter from Tarzan (entrance to AK), Snow White's Prince and the Beast in human form (in front of the Castle when performances of Cinderella's Surprise Celebration and Cinderellabration were cancelled), and the ones from the Pirate and Princess Party.

Met a couple fairly rare ones like Marie and Clara Cluck on our recent trip. However, got to stick to Gaston as the rarest I've met. Here's my daughter with him last year.

I don't know if you would consider it to be a "character" or not but we saw the talking trash can, can't remember it's name.

We came home & asked here on the boards & everyone seemed to know who it was. We didn't have a clue

I think the rarest one I have met was either the Sheriff of Nottingham or Apu. Found the Sheriff in Epcot near America and Apu during MVMCP. I am looking for Robin Hood right now but Im not having very much luck.

BTW, Launchpad can be found almost everyday in front of DAK in the morning, atleast right now.

that pic of robin hood and friar tuck i have was taken in sept 06. for a brief moment in time, they were doing appearances only on saturdays in MK. got that tip from steve soares

Cindy's wicked stepmother and stepsisters. They are so funny. Wicked stepmom said to me "Did you know your girls were dressed alike? That is so tacky!" She was so much in character, and I loved it.

Well, la di dah, I wouldn't mind meeting him, either! My favorite rare sighting was at DL: Mary Poppins accompanied by 2 penguin waiters. I ran up to one and to get a picture, but he couldn't stop, so he took my hand and led me to the castle, where we stopped and he posed with me for several minutes. It was just darling.

Does Lucky the Dinosaur count? We saw him in May 2005 at AK. My DD wasn't with me on that trip so she missed out. I hope that sometime in the future he makes a return trip. He was so cute!

I didn't realize Launchpad was considered rare? We see him quite often outside AK.

Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb are the rearest I've seen. I know that's sad isn't it. I have to admit that there are a few characters that if I saw them I woul d have no idea who they are. I know don't throw eggs!

Met Jiminy Cricket at Rafiki's in the Animal Kingdom. Might not be rare but in all the years that we've gone this was the first sighting by us.
