Epcot to Fort Wilderness (Davey Crockett's) then back to Magic Kingdom? This Sunday after dinner at LeCellier we are going on a carriage ride over at Fort Wilderness. After the ride we might go to MK for EMH night. What's the quickest way to do all of this using Disney transportation? TIA

I would think it's :monorail from EPCOT to TTC and take the boat from there to Fort Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge. The boat takes you back to the TTC and on to the Magic Kingdom.

My mistake: you catch the boat at a dock outside the Magic Kingdom. I remembered seeing it, just in a different place.

I'm not all that sure that the boat goes from the TTC to Ft. Wilderness or back again.

I would monorail from Epcot to MK, then boat from MK to Ft. Wilderness. This boat will leave you off at the area where Crockett's Tavern is. Then you can boat back to MK.

If there's a bus from Epcot to WL you could take that and then take the boat to Ft. Wilderness from there. The Ft Wilderness boat drops you off a couple hundred yards right up the trail from Crocketts Tavern.

You could also take the Ft Wilderness bus directly there, but once at the Campground you'd have to transfer from the Epcot bus to an internal Campground bus (the Epcot bus drops you off at the front of FTW and Crocketts is at the back). That way may still be the quickest.

If you do the boat thing, that same boat from WL to FTW would then take you back to MK when you're done with your carriage ride.

Sorry, but there are definitely no boats to anywhere from/to the TTC... except for the well-known ferry boats to/from the MK.

The boats that go to/from the RESORTS in the area all dock directly in front of the MK.

There are boats there to/from Fort Wilderness & Wilderness Lodge, and Grand Floridian & Poly.

Sorry. Thats what I meant, the boat at the Magic Kingdom, not the TTC.

 I would take the monorail to the MK, then the boat to FW and back to the MK. If I had a car and was not staying in a monorail resort, I would park at the TTC and take the monorail to EP for the day, then follow the above route. That way your car is at the park where you will end your day.

My choice is bus to FW, internal bus transportation there, then boat to MK.

As you can see from these varied responses, FtW is the most "inaccessable by direct route" place, in and out, in all of WDW.

I'll tell you something that most guests don't know.
There is ONE park with a direct bus to and from the Pioneer Hall area (Crockett Inn, Trails End, etc.)

Its MGM.
If you want to get to Pioneer Hall and you are near MGM (during MGM operating hours) that is the most direct route (even better than taking a taxi or driving.) The bus drives straight to the nearby bus stop for Pioneer Hall.
From MK area, take a boat. From MGM area, take that FtW bus.

But at NIGHT (after all the parks have been closed for a while) the sad truth is, if you want to take WDW transportation from FtW, you'll have to first go to DTD, exit and then board the bus marked for your resort. All the other buses and boats will likely have stopped running by then.

This sounds like the most efficient route. Will the internal FW buses run on the same 20-30 minute schedule as the regular buses?

Will the boat operate longer to compensate for EMH eveneing @ MK?

Thanks everyone!

Take the bus. It's #5 at Epcot, one of the closest buses to the exit. It will drop you off at the Outpost. Wait half a minute and board any internal bus (Purple, Yellow, or orange) they all go to the settlement and they come very frequently. THe trip from the front (outpost) to the back (Settlement) is a quick one. 15 minutes max, but usually less. The driver only stops if he has to, he calls out the stops if nobody wants on or off, he keeps driving.

Once at the settlement you can enjoy the Tavern and take a short walk to the marina for your boat to MK.

I DO NOT reccomend the Epcot monorail to the MK to the boat. You must walk up the ramp to the Epcot Monorail, wait for the monorail, ride to the TTC, disembark walk down the ramp, walk up another ramp to wait for another monorail, ride to the MK, disembark, walk down the ramp to the boat ramp, wait for the boat, ride to WL wait for people to get off and others to get on, before making your way to FW.

Just take the bus. :thumbsup2

PS yes the boat will still run due to the EMH :sunny:

Take a cab

Actually the cab is pretty much the same as the bus. It is required to drop you at the outpost parking lot and you must still take an internal bus.
