For a minority group that so want's to be "excepted" by the mainstream, why do you all go to such great lengths to segregate yourselves?

Alas, too many have "excepted" the gay/lesbian minority group, as well as many other minorities. What a wonderful world it will be when all are accepted.

Your board is much smaller than the Dis. The Dis has upwards of 100,000 participants if I'm not mistaken (someone correct me if I'm wrong). More people, more walks of life, more interests. I agree with Jenny, I've read some different points of view that I never would have anywhere else. I don't see the problem with anything here.

I know my board is much smaller than the DIS. But then again, we actively prune our member list. I do wonder how many of those 100,000 people are currently active here (there's an option to show this in the ACP), and how many have 0 posts. The memberlist function has been disabled so there's no real way to find out. If I were to guess I'd say there's probably 25-30k active users here. Which is still quite impressive.

I did read a good 3 pages of hostile replies though. But no biggie, there's a reason why a lot of folks, including myself, don't frequent this board.

I like the board just the way it is now (since they moved the games and exchanges to a sub-board). I have learned so much from my fellow DIS'ers, frankly I'm amazed at how much knowledge some of them have! Take for instance the recent thread on Israel and Lebanon, I learned more about the history of Israel than I did in school thanks to these people here. Politics have never been a strong point of mine so reading political threads is an eye opener sometimes. If a thread starts to get nasty, or just too repetative I stop clicking on it and move on to something else.

I enjoy my CB just the way it is

I'm not the one shelling out the personal attacks on folks. But yeah, Rick made sure to send me a PM warning me about it. Did you get one too?

Read back thru this thread and please tell me where I was trying to start trouble. I didn't know having a differing point of view on things automatically labeled you as a trouble maker. Each to his own I guess. To be totally honest, I really don't care.

I can take opposing opinions. I just read 3 pages of them. What are you talking about? I simply relayed something from my personal experiences that didn't work for US and how we fixed it. Seems simple enough to me. Some folks on this forum could find it easy enough to get into a flame match with someone over a lollipop.

Don't count on a warning. Others have been banned without one for much less. And chances are they really won't give a crap what your point is or that you don't like the points that are being made here on their board, Disney people notwithstanding.
