When we go to WDW we are wanting to pick up a special gift for our daughter's teacher as she is Disney crazy.
I am very indecisive :confused3 and panic when I know I have a gift like this to buy and waste an incredible amount of time trying to find the "perfect gift"!
Does anyone have any suggestions  on what would be the perfect gift from the parks?
P.S. I thought coffee mug immediately but then found out she doesn't drink coffee--HELP!

If she's a true nut I would get her a refridgerator magnet that gives the monorail spiel -- "please stand clear of the doors". I have heard about these everywhere and I want one!!! Other thoughts: fudge from The Confectionary, ears with her name on them, a tee shirt, stickers, a cool pen and stationary or a picture frame?? :earsgirl:

I'm a Disney Crazed Teacher myself... and even though I don't drink coffee... I love using my Disney Mugs to hold my pens and pencils on my desk! :earsgirl: You could also get her something that has Disney 2005 on it (if she isn't going herself this year)... maybe a pin or a the 2005 Mickey Beanie. If she's that nuts about Disney, I'm sure she'd LOVE whatever your child gives her.

My favorite souvenir is my collection of Disney World pens. They came 6 to a pack and Two years later I still have three left (I am going to re-stock next week!!) I use them everyday!!!!

I found the monorail magnet first thing at the gift shop at the Yacht Club. My older daughter's social studies teacher ahs been so great to us ( she was the ONLY on of her teachers that I felt I could approach about our Oct. trip, I didn't tell any teacher about the one last week:) ) when I told her about the Oct. trip and was questioning the missed assignments, she jus tsaid go and have fun, sometimes learning isn't just IN the classroom. I purchased her a minnie teacher trading/collectinable pin from the pin station. Since last weeks trip was a deep secret I didn't get her anything. I'll probably get her one for our April trip. They also had cool bent pens and pencils (bent lik emickey head, pluto head, etc.) in the resort gift shop for buy one get one 50% off. They were very reasonable to start with, like $3 each before the discount. IMO the monorail magnet is perfect, my kids go by the fridge and press the button. It has three sayings and cost $7.

My DD is a teacher. She's been teaching the lower grades for 15 years and is also a WDW fan. I just called her to ask about your post. She says she's received a plethera of gifts from Disney World from her students - most were "gotchies" that she displayed in the classroom for a short while. But, she said she likes getting note pads (the type that has lots of clear writing space - not the paper with bright characters in the middle of the page), character pens, stickers, and anything that she can use in the classroom. She also has received MANY Christmas tree ornaments over the years - so many that now she has a small second tree set up at holiday time with all her "teacher" ornaments.

I would definitely get her an ornament at the DTD christmas shop. They make beautiful ones

A nice keychain, pen,or picture frame ought to please her. I know that I would love just about ANYTHING from WDW. ;)

How about one of the Mr. Potato Heads with the accessories!!
An antennea topper is a good one too!!

I'm a teacher and a Disney nut. I must say I like the monorail frig magnet, I love the antenna ball toppers (even had other teachers asking me to bring them some back from my last trip), I like the stationary idea, and my personal favorite souvenir is a WDW calendar. I love looking at it each day and thinking about my future trips to WDW. :flower:

Another Dis-crazy teacher posting. I loved my coffee mugs to hold pens, my Kinndergarteners broke it within a year. I agree that pens, pencils, notepads etc. would be a good but. I also cannot get enough Disney Christmas ornaments myself.

such things exist??? where have i been?!

to ebay!

oh, my girlfriend loves eeyore, so i got her an enormous stuffed eeyore. put a decent hole in my wallet, but was a great gift :)

I got them interesting Disney socks once and they loved them. The elementary school kids love to see their teachers with Mickey, Pooh, etc. socks.

Find out what her favorite ride is, they have small collectibles of the rides. Usually Mickey, Donald or Goofy are riding whichever ride it is. We have a Goofy Barnstormer commemorating our DS's first rollercoaster ride. They are adorable and plastic so they are pretty durable. He plays with it often. That way she has a visual reminder of her favorite WDW ride on her desk! They have one for most rides we're looking forward to getting the Doombuggy one to celebrate his 1st trip to Haunted Mansion. :teacher:

My favorite thing to bring home is the Disney pasta. So cute, useable, and only about $5. We usually bring some for us and also everyone on our list. My sister will ask for it now! :teeth:

In the past we've purchased for teachers something that has to do with their "favorite"- be it favorite ride, favorite character, etc. It's easier when you know what their favorite is- to pick a gift for them. :)

I forgot all about teacher gift!!!

For my dd's 1st grade teacher, I might get something very different. She has 2 daughters (a kindergartner and a first grader) so I might get something for them. As a mom, she might appreciate that the MOST! I wish I knew their names, I would get them a personalized GOH pin or something.

So many good ideas--now to choose which one! For the coffee mug, I like the idea of using it as a pen holder---do you get "teacher" on it, there name..hmm :scratchin maybe not because it would be their first name or do they have mugs with just different parks on them? Iwant the monorail fridge magnet-that would be so cool!
Thanks for all of the suggestions-this should help me narrow down what I'm looking for!
