I read this morning they are looking into Savannah's sister and the sister's husband. I guess they were the last people to see her mother. They went out to dinner the night of the kidnapping. Not sure if they are suspects or if the police are just following protocol.

There's a difference between the sentencing for kidnapping versus murder. According to Google, "In Arizona, kidnapping is generally a Class 2 felony, punishable by 10 to 24 years in prison, while murder (Class 1 felony) carries significantly harsher penalties, ranging from 25 years to life imprisonment or the death penalty. "

Plus there is a law in most states that when a death occurs during the commission of a crime, everyone involved gets charged with murder. For instance, even the getaway driver, who didn't go inside for the bank robbery, where one of the customers in the bank had a heart attack and died during the robbery, the getaway driver is also charged with murder.
