What's the oldest restaurant you've dined at?

The Original Pantry Cafe, Los Angeles - 1924

I've eaten ay the Buckhorn Exchange (1893) a few times in Denver. Awesome food, interesting menu.

Also eaten at My Brother's Bar, which opened in 1873, 3 years before Colorado became a state.

In San Diego, I've eaten at Tivoli's Bar, which is the oldest in San Diego (1885)

Both places I might grab a friend and check out on a road trip! 😁
For me, it would be the Woolworth's in Hagerstown, MD, and the former Red Byrd in Keedysville MD, both when I was a little girl.
My daughter ate at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem in Nottingham, which has supposedly been there since the 1100s.
We have a Woolworth’s luncheonette here, the rest of the building has been converted to an antique mall. The girls love having lunch there.

Aux Anciens Canadiens restaurant is housed in the historic Maison Jacquet, built in 1675, the oldest standing house in Quebec City.
We dined there on our Disney cruise that left out of Quebec a couple of years ago.

I've eaten at Weidmann's, which the article you shared names as Mississippi's oldest restaurant, a couple of times. It was opened in 1870, but moved to its current location in 1923. It has a cool bar with live music, but the food is mediocre at best.

The City Tavern in Philly, *many* years ago. I don't remember much about it, unfortunately.

When I was on the Jack the Ripper tour in London in 2001 I had a drink at the Ten Bells in Spitalfields. It was the last place one of the victims was seen alive. At the time it was a tourist trap, I know it's still open but don't know if it's gotten any better.
We stopped there during our Jack The Ripper tour as well. Our guide was Donald Rumbelow. He still pops up on TV on The History Channel sometimes. The Ten Bells must pay those guides a fortune, as they bring it so much business.

Probably The Golden Lamb in Lebanon OH!

The Golden Lamb Inn is the oldest hotel in Ohio, having been established in the Warren County seat of Lebanon in 1803. The present four-story structure is built around the 1815 rebuilding of the inn.

Probably a place I ate at in Paris once. I can't remember the name; it was in French. Or it might have been that it was just in one of the oldest buildings in France, in which case the oldest restaurant I ever ate in was probably this one in Rome. I also can't remember the name of that; it was in Italian. :D

I've eaten at five of the restaurants on that list. Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and DC. A lot of the others look good; I may need to eat my way around the US!

I have eaten at McGillin's , the PA oldest restaurant , since I was a teenager. My Dad worked nearby & Mom would bring Sis & I in town during the Summer or Spring break to have lunch with him. Later DH & I would meet there for lunch. We realized our Dads probably might have eaten there at the same time when we were kids . They both worked in the same area in Philadelphia & ate there regularly.

We didn't have Donald Rumbelow, we had a guy who spent a good part of his time making fun of the victims, which wasn't cool. We would have left the tour early because he was so obnoxious, but we had no idea where we were in Whitechapel and needed his guidance to get back to the starting point. The Ten Bells was a real dive when I went, but I just looked them up and they've spiffed up a bit. Looks pretty nice now, but you're right, they must be bringing in a mint from tour stops.
