We are trying to get into the FW the middle of the month of March!! There are no openings!! whats the odds of us getting in at that time. we need a larger campsite not a cabin. This is our spring break so this certain week is about all we can do without taking the boy out of school. And we dont want to do that. I keep calling but still no sites. Do you think we will get lucky??

People cancel all the time. When you check for openings, don't just ask for the whole week. I have pieced reservations together almost a day at a time. See if there are any openings, grap those and then fill in the rest of the week. If things don't work out, you can cancel. Good luck.

Yes , you will. It is also spring break here..,and we got a week last year,and didnt make plans til end of feb.Play the game,,and call every couple days. You will get in... DOOM BUGGY

DD is on spring break March 31-April 4. I wanted to go to the mountains in TN but I guess we'll wait til June and go to FW for break. I got ressies for my days after playing Disney's computer game. I kept putting in dates (adding and deleting) and finally got what I wanted. Now I have to call and delete the days I don't want. I wish they would just display the dates they have and not make you add a bunch of days to get them.

I just got our ressies this past Thursday through AAA. We were told that it was the last full hookup site available - no preferred either. I checked online literally 1-hour after that and there were no sites available period, only tent sites. We will be there March 30 through April 4 - our second stay at the Fort (first in our new fiver!)

I hope we will get in. We too are wanting to take our new 5th wheeler down. We just took it to Destin Fl over christmas break, but we really wanted to break in in down at FW. At least we broke it in at Florida, at least that is close, since we are in Indiana where its cold !!!

If you piece together several ressies for a single stay do you have to play musical sites?

I booked 12/20-27/08 last week, but the rest of our party is having trouble getting all the days at once.

Ive not heard of anyone having to switch sites, but you may have to go to the check in at the end of each ressie to sign for the next ressie. Apparently they wont combine them into one reservation.

Pix...its still early enough for that date that I'd bet you wont have a whole lot more trouble getting a spot....you know as well as me that the closer it gets, the more cancellations are made. Is this going to be your solo trip?

A trick that sometimes works is adding a few days to the beginning or end of your trip, for some reason the system opens reservations up when you do that, then you can call back later and cancel days you don't need.

I know I know I know......I need to pracitce what I preach. It's just that I looked at my calendar and that is THE weekend I can get away! March is full of birthdays and in May, DD11 and I are joining DH on a business trip to Europe! Yes, I have a hard life. I could go over the 4th of July for the big Dis Gathering, but it will be so hot and crowded, especially for tent camping. Oh, BTW, it is for my solo trip Between this trip and Europe, that living room furniture will probably have to wait. I looked at the room, with all its estate sale furnishings that I've recovered myself, and thought, "it's not that bad!" Amazing how WDW can change your perspective on things!

Oh, and as for the 'salt water aquarium' idea, been there, done that. The fish keeping hobby is relaxing, beautiful and retro~kind of like knitting. I'm not knocking it, believe me! However, I seem to have a very hard time keeping things like fish and plants alive. I'm just glad my kids are doing as well as they are!
