Whats the NICEST thing that has happened to you at WDW???

These are such wonderful stories!

We just got back on Monday from a great birthday weekend at WDW for my daughter. :bday:

Saturday was her birthday and she was decked out with the birthday cake hat and birthday button that you can get at Disney. Anyways, the entire day CM's were wishing her a happy birthday, giving us free fastpasses for rides, and at each meal they would decorate our table and bring out a birthday cupcake. It really made my daughter feel special and it make for a very memorable birthday! princess:

The nicest thing though came from a another little girl at the MK. We were sitting outside The Plaza restaurant waiting to be called for lunch when this little girl comes over to us and tells my daughter that she figured it was her birthday (b/c of the hat and pin) and she just wanted to wish her a happy birthday. That was so sweet of her! My daughter was so touched by it that when we all were seated later she went up to the little girl and asked if she wanted some of her birthday cupcake! :wizard:

Gotta love Disney!

:sunny: As i was reading all the comments I thought of one thing that happened to us.

We had tried the pooh ride when it first opened and it was very difficult for my sister who uses a wheel chair and she is also brain damaged from spinal mengitis. The que hadn't really changed from Mr Toad so the transfer was difficult. So we haven't ridden the ride since.
We were at DTD store this past December ,buying some things and I was in the jewerly section buying some friends key chains. I stood in line to pay for them and I overheard the CM behind the counter talking to another CM in front of me. She was the lead CM for the pooh bear ride. I started talking to heard about the ride and how much trouble is was and she told us to go to town hall and get a pass for the ride and she also told us they had put in a honey pot to accomidate wheel chairs. We got to ride the ride a few times on our trip and my sister really enjoyed it.

My 7 year old daughter had decided that she was going to use her money to buy a princess lanyard and start pin trading. On our first day at the bus stop she began talking to a cast member about her pins. My daughter pointed out a Jasmine one that she liked and told her that her favorite princess was Cinderella. We said good bye and got on the bus and had a wonderful day at MK. My daughter bought her lanyard and traded two of the pins. When we returned to our room there was an envelope with my daughters name on it. Inside was a Cinderella's Castle card with 4 pins inside!!!!! The cast member had given my daughter the Jasmine one she had pointed out and a Cinderella pin. She also included 2 Buzz pins for her younger brothers who the cast member had noticed were wearing Buzz sweatshirts. What an exciting way to end a beautiful day at MK. Now ofcourse she is hooked on PINS!!!!!

My bf and I finally got to vist WDW this past November for two magical weeks after years of dreaming about it. We were having a great time in Epcot, and had fast passes for our first ever ride on Test Track. Heading over, as we walked a CM stopped us and asked if we would like to be part of a training session and have a ride on a Segway! Would we ever! I had seen the World Showcase Segway tour here on the Dis before we went but we just couldn't afford it what with everything else, so we were really pleased and excited to be offered to try them out! It was us and I believe 4 other couples and first there was a short class on how to use them taught by the CM who was in training, with a few others helping him out as needed. They were all really nice and one nice lady saw my camera and took a lot of pictures of us as we drove around, huge nervous grins on our faces! It wasn't that easy at first but we soon got the hang of it and really enjoyed ourselves as we drove around in a large room then practiced riding up and down a ramp. That part really scared me but I did good :teeth: ! My bf was green with envy from then on in whenever CM's would ride by at Epcot or the Pop where we were staying, on their Segways :flower: . But at least we had a shot and really added an extra bit of magic to our trip, as if it needed it! Plus, we were able to still use our fast pass even though the time had run out on them, the CM said she'd take care of it, and I guess she did because it was no problem. Cool eh!

It was raining and my socks got soaked, but I remember a store that sold flip flops (in MK). By the time we got there, it was closed, but a CM in the shop next door asked what shoe size I wore and what color I wanted and went in and got them for me. How sweet!

My camera was left under the sun flap of the rented stroller. It was returned and Bob from lost and found called. I thank him and the CM who returned it!

We were on a keys to the kingdom tour,on 11th September 2002, it had just started, we were stood on mainstreet usa, and I met myself, when we booked it we all gave our name's, my real name is Wendy Jane Darling, as the tour started the girl who plays Wendy was nearby and they shouted here over to meet herself, she was very nice and said that she was glad that we had grown up pretty, I said thank you, and I then told her that as we grew up we started to colour our hair, we laughed. Everyone on the tour thought it was great, just a shame we didn't have a camera, (not allowed to take it on the tour), it's a lovely memory, it made the day real special.

Another little one :- Last October 2004, we we're booking a character breakfast, and again I had to give my name, the cm told everyone in the office at WDW (is it city hall), my name after asking me if it was my real name, and then he gave me a badge.

WDW holidays are always special.

We have had many magical things happen over the years, usually for my kids.
Last week i was waiting for friends to ride mission space, just hanging out on a bench when out comes mickey and pluto, noone around and alot of beer in me i decided to play with them.I took the pictures and goofed around when i was done i took mickeys nose in my hands to kiss it-just as i did the fireworks began(yes i know it was 9:00) what a magical moment for me!!!!

On our last trip (Oct. 2004), I was having a conversation with a nice man in the World Showcase at Epcot and we started talking about pin trading. I mentioned that I didn't really understand it so I hadn't really started collecting them with my ds5. He took the time to explain it to me and to give us some good pointers. Our families were waiting for the water ferry together and as we were about to separate he gave ds his large Mickey for the bottom of his lanyard. I thought that was the nicest thing and ds was so excited.

We have a dd 8 who has severe food allergies. We were so excited to hear that WDW takes this seriously but never expected for her to get treated so special. At each restaurant the chefs would come out and after talking to us to get the important facts they would talk to her-she felt so important. Each time the chef would personally bring out her food (and in some instances they made her food that wasn't even on the menu!) and then check on her again before the meal was over. When we were leaving MK on our last night she started crying and when I asked her what was wrong she said "I wish I could live here so I could eat out and be safe".

We were able to ride in the front of the Monorail several times.. my girls never got bored with it! :) We were also chosen to ride on a float in the Animal Kingdom Parade :earsboy: . Also at Animal Kingdom, we were having trouble finding the entrance for It's Tough to be a Bug, and a lovely CM led us to a shortcut and let us join the line in progress just outside the entrance! We felt like VIP's! We were also at the opening of ToonTown one morning, and Pooh took my oldest daughter's hand, and Tigger took my youngest by the hand and walked with them to the Meet and Greets.. Lot's of Pixie Dust!

Well we stayed at WL this past December. We decided to resort hop on our last day. We took the boat over to the Contemp. We were looking in the shops. Got on the monorail and headed to GF. I noticed that my mug was missing. Must have put it down somewhere. We went back to WL and explained our situation and they gave me a new mug. That really had the magic feel to it.

We were married at WDW -- that was definitely great in it's own right!

But the nicest CM we've ever come across was on our wedding day. My nephew, age 6 at the time, was having so much fun with the other kids at our reception that he wet his pants. My sister ran over to the store at the Boardwalk, picked out the nicest outfit they had and went to pay. She handed her credit card to the CM and proceeded to tell her what happened while asking for a pair of scissors to cut the tags off. The CM cut the tags off the clothes for her and then gave them to her at no charge! She wouldn't take a penny and said "enjoy the wedding." Soooo awesome!!!

We've had a lot of great CMs over the years that went above and beyond. Another was our water at Palio on the Disney Wonder. We were celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and we know nothing about wine except that we love Asti Spumante. He found us a fantastic wine, chose desserts for us that were heavenly, had a plate made up with "happy anniversary" in chocolate and raspberry syrup and -- when our digital camera died -- he found new AA batteries for us in the kitchen!!!! We left him an enormous tip because he was wonderful. I've never gotten a "thank you note" from a waiter before!

I was lucky enough to get married in WDW. As part of our wedding festivities, we arranged for a dessert party in Epcot. Because of the rain, we had to do the desserts inside at Norway, but we decided to brave the impending storm and head out to the Italy Isola for Illuninations. On the walk there, everyone who was sitting waiting for Illuminations to start started clapping and cheering when they saw our group walking by. And CMs were yelling congratulations in their native language. It made a magical day that much more special, and it remains one of my favorite memories of the day!

Found this on page two. I've enjoyed reading all the great stories. Didn't want it to get lost. So, here's a bump!

We were at the Haunted Mansion in MK last year in Nov. Our 3yo son Dylan who loves the story "Legend of Sleppy Hollow"(do you think this has anything to do with the fact that he was born on Friday the 13th exactly at midnight?) We stopped at the gift cart looking for anything from the story and they called one of the shops on main st and suggested we try there. We talked to a nice woman that worked there and she explained all that kind of stuff is put away after halloween and it would be in storage difficult to find, oh well thanks anyway. About 15 minutes later this woman finds us in the store and gives us a headless horseman beanie baby. What a treat! We will never forget her kind gesture. If any of your kids come home from pre-school telling spooky stories about sleepy hollow you will know that Dylan is in their class. SAM

:rotfl: my 13yo DS is still terrified of that story.

Here are mine, although every page I've read I remember another one. Funny how some slip to the back of my mind.
1. Had triplet 11 yo (after 8yrs of trying) on vacation Dh & my 20th anniv. Came home pregnant.... Surprise - can you say magical?

2. took "new" baby along with 12yo triplets to Liberty Tavern, as we were exiting Spectro magic was going by. I was trying to hold baby up to see it. Some nice gentleman let us get infront of him.

3. Belle blew DS a kiss from on stage. We knew she was blowing it to him because she had hinted she would be on stage in the next show and maybe he would be surprised, when DS & my mother bumped into a nice young lady who resembled Belle in the ladies room. Who knew?

4. At 9 yo DS, when seeing Tink fly from the castle at the beginning of fireworks , says "I guess dreams do come true"

5. Aladdin making a big deal out of DS Bruins hat.
