What's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?

ok...I have 3 that stick to mind....

After having our cash stolen on Friday, a friend i met in a class 2 months ago, has offered me $100....I hardly know her.....

Spiceycat from these boards suprised me with Two Donald Duck t shirts to cheer me up when things were tough :)

In 2000, I was at the end iof my trip overseas in Singapore, and my payw as delayed, I was ins trife as i couldnt; leave singapre earlier, and a nice pereon there in customer srevice helped me out, shane gave me money toget by, a place to stay etc....we have become good frinds. I was so touched that a complete stranger would do this to anyone, it wouldn;t happen here.

God bless these special people

JTB's post reminds me... where in the world is Ray Sharpton lately? Has anyone seen him?

Rays a very active poster on the Discon boards at the moment. he's been kept rather busy with all the planning.

:teeth:

Snoopy - I love the lucky charms story. Now that was not a quick impetuous act of kindness - one that was thought out and took time to execute.

JTB - the fedex box story was worth the wait! I am so glad you will be at DISCON. :)

Pin wizard - I think people who are drawn to nursing as a career - start out with hearts two sizes too big. That was definitely above and beyond the call of duty.

vickitricki - Your experience in Singapore is amazing. Another angel I think.

Chipperdini - Yes. The finest thing done for any of us.

Thank you all for sharing.

Chipperdini, I couldn't agree with you more. No other gift can compare to the gift of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Well if I count my family in this I will be here forever listing nice things, so I will list what my best friend did for me.

When I was 18 it was only my mom and I living in the apartment and I mentioned to my best friend how I need to lock all the locks before I go to bed because I was a little nervous and it made me feel secure. Well I only mentioned this once to him.
He had slept over one night and we were talking, I went over to the door to lock the locks and he followed me there and when I got there he told me he had locked them all for me. Then he hugged me (awww). He must've locked them when I was in a different room because I never saw him do it.

When I was 19 I had a baby... one that I didn't have the support to take care of. So I had to give her up for adoption. The nicest thing anyone has done for me was to take my little girl and raise her as their own. She has beautiful, wonderful parents. I am so grateful.

These stories are beautiful.

It has to be what my best friend did for me on Saturday. I told him what I know about my dad and that I was going to need his shoulder to cry on today (since Saturday was such a busy day for him at work.) He got a babysitter for Saturday night without telling me and tried to call me at @ 10:30 so he could see if he could come over and hold me while I cried. Unfortunately, I wasn't at home but he told me about it this morning when I did see him and he did everything he could to keep my mind off it today although he did ask me once what my dad was going to do and what I thought of it.

The nicest thing anyone has done for me is to encourage me in my goal to become a certified sign language interpreter when I was very depressed and close to committing suicide. It has changed my whole life and opened up a whole world to me.
