Right now they are offering pay for 4 stay for whatever, but that offer is only to march.
Does anyone know what the next offer will be?
Just curious as we are going in May.

I got an email for 30% off deluxe, 35% moderate and 40% off value or something like that. It goes through June, this is the first code I have ever gotten. I fiqured since we go every year that's why so I was surprised.

You'll just have to keep checking.

And you might need to be flexible, so think of your options before you call. The deal may not have availablility at the resort you already have booked, so you'll want an alternative if you want to take advantage of it.

We've gone in May the last two years.

In 2008, we just got free park hoppers/WP with our tickets.

This year, we got the buy4get3 at Pop Century for part of our stay. They then came out with a spring deal (a certain % off). We were able to stay an additional 4 nights at CSR for $101 a night.

MIL joined us for 3 nights at Pop Century. Shortly before the trip they came out with a FL resident special, so I was able to change her reservation to that deal.

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

Actually there is a rumor going around (check out the rumors board) that Disney is planning on cutting back on it's discounts next year. Seems people expect that the discounts are going to be every year and disney doesn't want that to happen.

sort of like the Department stores, people don't shop unless the get a discount so now stores have to offer them all the time. cuts into profit.

I hope they have more discounts, I am trying to take my daughter in feb for her birthday..but I can't pay for the offer that is out there now for the 4 nights and get 3 free..and I think is expires on Dec 20th..was hoping to get my bonus from work today but nothing yet..so it looks like I won't be able to book until the first of the year..so we might go from 7 days to 3-4 days instead..

A lot of people on the November 2010 code watch thread have gotten a pin code with this discount. It was good for most of 2010 except holidays.

I haven't received it yet.

edited to add -The percents were different. Save 20%* at Disney Value Resorts, 30%* at Disney Moderate Resorts or 40%* at Disney Deluxe Resorts

On the official Walt Disney World website, this special is listed!! No codes or anything-just plain as day on the website.

Where are you seeing this? I looked on the site and the only percentages off are through Feb. I've been hoping to get the one for most of 2010 but so far it hasn't landed in my inbox.

My GF got the pin for 30% off values, 35% off moderates and 40% off deluxes.

She booked the WL for 9 nights, woods view for $2014.

She was so excited when she got the pin she emailed it to me and then we talked on the phone. She booked last night.

where is the rumors board?

The top executive at the Walt Disney Co. said this morning that he expects his company’s theme parks will scale back discounting during the second half of 2010, though he acknowledged that “we don’t know when we will essentially be able to turn it off.”

Disney Chief Executive Officer Bob Iger noted that the promotions Disney’s parks are currently offering – including another buy-four-get-seven hotel-night offer at Walt Disney World – are slightly smaller than deals they offered earlier this year, when the global recession was at its worst.

“We’ll be able to continue to dial that back over the latter part of 2010,” Iger told financial analysts at the UBC Media and Telecommunications Conference in New York.

Since the beginning of this year, Disney has been using a series of deep discounts at its theme-park resorts – on hotel rooms, food, tickets and more – to keep attendance afloat amid an overall slump in travel and tourism. While the company has relied on promotions to prop up attendance during previous downturns, it has not before used them for such an extended period of time.

The strategy has kept Disney World and Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., full, which Disney executives say helps ensure continued word-of-mouth marketing and leads to return trips. But it has eroded margins: Operating profit at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts sank 25 percent during the company’s 2009 fiscal year, which concluded Oct. 3.

Some analysts have expressed concern that the strategy may lead to a permanent expectation of discounts among Disney customers, which would make it difficult to return to full prices without harming attendance. Some also worry that the promotions have simply cannibalized future attendance by luring people who were planning to take trips later.

Iger, as he has before, dismissed both concerns. He said, for example, the promotions have attracted new customers who would not otherwise have visited a Disney park.

“We’re not concerned about weaning ourselves and the marketplace of the discounts,” Iger said.

Still, Iger declined to predict when Disney might be able to stop discounting entirely. Tourism-industry experts have been watching for indications that Disney is preparing to pull back its promotions as a likely sign of improvement in the broader travel market.

I just got this pin yesterday in the mail.

We had decided that we would NOT be going in 2010. We're going to wait a year. Of course this is the first pin I've ever received so it's tempting and I've been really getting the trip-planning itch the past few weeks. I've been starting to plan our next trip and discuss options with DH, but May 2011 just seems so far away... :sad2:

Thanks for the link, hopefully they "turn it off" after I get a discount!

And hopefully they will "turn it back on" for November/December 2011....Cause I want to stay at a Deluxe resort and the only way that is going to happen is if I get a pin code or they have the 40% discount.....Crossing fingers!!!!

I just got the 30/35/40 PIN today. It goes until April sometime. I also got one that ended this week a few months ago. Figures we went earlier this year for the first time in years and no PIN (but we did get the 4/3 deal which was almost as good for us). Now that we're not going for several years we keep getting the PINs.

I'm just praying that the free dining comes back for September. I haven't been in 2 years and I'm trying to talk my parents in going with us and they have never been!!! Crossing my fingers!!!:wizard:
