My DH and I are leaving the kids behind this coming October and heading to the Beach Club for a long weekend. I CAN'T WAIT!!! We are going at this time primarily for the Food and Wine fest but I am I am looking for any romantic things to do on a grown up trip. It can be anything from a fancy dinner for two to a romantic stroll around your favorite resort. I'm all ears!!!:thumbsup2

We had a planned elopement... but I think you already have the marriage thing covered. :rotfl2:

Seriously, strolling Epcot after dark without kids having some time to chat and enjoy would be a perfect night for me.

That sounds sooooooo nice! Add to it a slow dinner where you don't have to feed anyone or worry about an "eruption" (parents, you know what I mean).

When DH and I went on our honeymoon 4 years ago, we did a private carriage ride through the Port Orleans resort. It was nice, we were able to bring a bottle of wine with us and drank that while we went on the ride...made ressies ahead of time to reserve our spot for the carriage.

We also did an Illuminations Cruise...and were fortunate enough to hook up with fellow DIS'ers who had one booked already and had extra space. :)

Have a great trip!

We had a couples massage in our room and the ordered the Sunset romance dinner package (or something like that) and room service set up dinner and wine on our balcony. We were at AKL. It was heaven!

DH proposed in front of the castle in Oct. '99, down on one knee. Definitely, the most romantic evening for us.

How about a horse and carriage ride at the port orleans french quarter / riverside around dusk? And then head on over to Epcot for some dinner :)

What I would do is take a walk on the beach at Poly at night, find the hammock directly across from the castle and watch the Wishes fireworks while sitting in a hammock rocking slowy back and forth holding my girl. Hopefully it would be a clear night and after the fireworks we would take a romantic walk on the beach over to the GF. IMO that would be perfect :thumbsup2

These are all GREAT ideas!!!! I actually just booked the new tour that is offered at Epcot...The Nature Inspired Design tour! May not be the most romantic thing, but still something I could never do with kids!

Now, what about the most romantic place to eat??

Can you tell I'm excited? And, watching Wishes from the beach at Poly sounds wonderful. We'll have to fit that in!

I heard Victoria and Alberts was Romantic. I have a friend who proposed to his girlfriend at Cinderella's Royal Table. The Disney Site shows a Sweetheart Dinner for 2 you might look into. There are also Citricos & Coral Reef (I personally love the Underwater feel...DH and I ate at an Aquarium restaurant in Nashville one time and it felt so romantic even though it was a family place).

Dont forget you can order in room "celebrations" from the Disney Florist. There is the Yacht Tour. You could see about a couples massage in room. Do the Private portrait session. Oh and if we didnt have kids for a trip would would deff do the segway around the world thing at Epcot.

10 years ago TODAY I got engaged in front of Cinderella's castle....9 years ago TODAY we were married...and living happily ever after!!

Most romantic place to eat is definitely V&A. Second choice is Bistro de Paris; we've always had quiet intimate dinners there. Since we usually stay BC, we book a late dinner, get done after Epcot is closed, and have a quiet walk back to our room.

Most romantic thing we've done is probably the Illuminations Cruise the first time (it was just my husband and I on the boat).

The Illuminations Cruise sounds wonderful but how do you do it??? Do you have to book a whole group? I can't see spending that $$ on just the two of us but do they split it if the boat isn't full and you can go on with others??

DH proposed by the wishing well next to the castle just before Tinkerbell came down the zip line to start the fireworks in Feb 99. So as I said "yes" the fireworks started...it was perfect!!

But I would have to say anything that involves being able to enjoy anything at any of the parks or resorts at your own pace without the kids to worry about makes for a great evening.:thumbsup2
