What's the most "rare" character you've met?

The rarest characters I met were the Cinderellabration performers, and Merlin (he usually doesn't do meet and greets).

The Queen of Hearts graciously posed with me on our last trip - we have a whole series of photos of she and I. The next character I would love to have a photo op with would be Big Al - love him! We do have pictures of the kids when they were younger with Roger Rabbit and Darkwing Duck. And I didn't see the red monkeys from Toy Story (barrel full of monkeys) mentioned - we have pics of them with the kids from 1996. And Clopin, Megara, and from Mulan, Li-Shang (?) from 2001. I love the characters!

Ihave a photo of my baby sis with Bianca from the Rescuers...sure it was about 20 something years ago! She loved that movie. That was before dvd's and vcr's in every home and you would have to go to the theater to see it again and again! When we saw her in Disney World It was so special!

Now someone on these boards saw The three musketeers(Mickey Donald and Goofy) because my son was sitting in my lap reading the boards one night and he saw the photo. We went to Epcot the 1st day of our trip to see them and we were told they only came out before the DVD!

how bout the fab 5 all together in one spot...we got a pic with the two of us and the five.
is that a rare occurance?

Fishy&2guppies - I saw Gaston at MNSSHP in 2003 (I think). Not before or since.

I actually hit the "Prince trifecta" back in October of 2004 - I met the Prince (Snow White's) at MGM after the parade, Prince Charming (Cinderella's) at 1900 Park Fare dinner and Prince Phillip (Princess Aurora's) at MNSSHP. I was in heaven! :goodvibes

So, who's been the most rare character you've ever met?

Mr. Penguin from Mary Poppins (one of the dancing penguins). He signed the autograph book as "Mr. Penguin." He had on a red bow-tie. I took us a while to figure-out who he was.

Launchpad is a filler character when all the others are taken.

I'm sure you met him at Animal Kingdom, or perhaps magic kingdom.

he ties into animal kingdom because of his brief stint on Tail spin and Baloo is prety much the head mascot for Animal kingdom, that along with Rafiki.

Launchpad is one of my favorites. I've seen him out in Town Square but I have never taken a picture with him! I'll have to change that next time I see him. As it is, I don't think he was ever on Tail Spin? He was on Ducktales and Darkwing Duck, but I think Tail Spin may have been set in the 40s while the other two shows were present day. Not sure on that one, but I know I never saw him on Tail Spin (I probably would remember that).

The rarest ones I've found were the Walrus and cards from Alice in Wonderland and Scrooge McDuck. :goodvibes

Yes -- generally getting group photos is difficult, especially with the Fab 5!

Our rarest was Uncle Scrooge McDuck on Christmas morning.

Hmmm. . .who is going into the meet & greet place in Magic of Disney animation where they were?

We also met LaunchPad on one of our trips--outside AK like someone said. We are hoping to go to MNSSHP this October, and I'm hoping to get some great villains' pictures! I love the villains! :cool1:

I was wondering this, too! My 1st guess that it would be the new location for the Little Einsteins - that would be great!! Or I heard the Incredibles are being moved somewhere new, but to bring them back to the Animation Building may not make sense since they are not so new anymore, unless they share it since there is plenty of room in there. And the 3rd guess is some new movie coming out, and new characters from that will take over! :teeth:

Yeah. If Chicken Little and Abby are moving, probably characters from a new movie would go there.

Our trip March 4-11 we got several that were first for us. Alice, Mary Poppins, and Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh were all at Epcot in the UK. We also got Belle and Beast together at (Beast was a first as we've only ever met Belle there) Epcot. Aladdin & Jasmine together at Epcot. Mulan and Mushu together at Epcot. We got Launchpad last year at MK and the Queen of Hearts last year at MK. Cruella last year at MK.......we hardly ever seen any villians.

Has anyone ever seen Esmerelda?

I saw her in December in France at Epcot, in that garden area near the water, behind the stores. :) I was very surprised to see her, as I have not seen her in a long time!! Hunchback characters seem to have become very rare overall!

I too am curious about who will be appearing there, I really am hoping to catch Chicken Little and Abbey on my trip down in June but hopefully they will be out by the big hat. If new characters are going in I would like to know who they will be, please keep us updated.

Also how do you reach the Disney antimation tour area without doing the tour, I had read somewhere once that you can get to the characters without doing the ride, can some refresh my memory. Thanks.

the incredibles are moving back to the animation building. Also becuase tey will be featured in the super hero breakfast comming soon to hollywood and vine.

Frozone will be seen more too.

I sure hope they keep Chicken Little and Abbey Mallard around too. :)

I'm wondering if they might put some of the new characters from Cars in there or somewhere else in the park. Isn't that coming out in June? I know Chicken Little was in the animation building before the movie was ever released.

Hey Mecha Figment are you the same one that posts at wdwmagic sometimes? ;) As for the animation thing...I think you can just walk into the part where the characters are and skip the animation show. However, that was one of the surprise things we didn't intend to do, but really enjoyed. Mushu from Mulan is in this short show and he was hilarious. I would recommend seeing it if you haven't. When we walked out of it in Oct. we were the only people(us and the few other people who went to the show) in the room with Chicken Little and Abby Mallard. It was probably some of the best character interaction we had the whole trip. They were chasing the kids and sliding down banisters. It was great! We also had a lot of time with them before and after having our picture made.
