What's the Most Efficient Way to Enquire About an ADR?

We currently have a CP Package @ SAI on 11/29. However, there's a few restaurants we'd rather have. I've been calling once or twice a day for over a month, just to be told "no". I told my DH he needs to start taking turns calling, because the rejecting is killing me. :p Unfortunately, the rejection isn't even the worst part of calling. I also have to deal with many of the CMs acting irritated that I want them to check more than one restaurant for openings. (Naturally, some of the CMs are great! I wouldn't be as hesitant to call, if I knew I get one of them. :goodvibes ) Anyway, below is what I'm hoping for. What's the most efficient way to inquire w/o annoying the CMs?

Date: 11/29
Show: 8:15 pm
Restaurants: Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Les Chefs de France, or Rose & Crown

We'd be happy with any of them, & I realize getting one of them is a long shot. That doesn't stop me from trying & hoping. :wizard: Thanks in advance for helping to make my calls to Disney Dining more pleasant. :flower3:

I wish I had some...I've called and asked them to check all restaurants for the CP and it's been a toss up...they're either very accomodating or I can sense annoyance in their voice.

I always feel bad when they say No and I have to say nope I don't want anything else have a magical day!

While many ADRs can and will be cancelled over the next month or two, those who have booked a CP dinner will be less likely to do so because it is a package deal. Your TS preferences are obviously the most popular spots in Epcot and that explains their lack of availability.

I would suggest being more flexible in your options. Is 11/29 the only day you can go? Is the 8:15 pm show the only one you can attend? Don't target a single moment and pin all your hopes to it; work backwards, asking about all available times and TS openings. If the CP means that much to you, go out of your way to attend it. I don't know if your schedule allows for that, but of course 11/29 is a Saturday, and that won't work in your favor.

Call everyday until you get what you want, or know for a fact you cannot get it all. Don't get discouraged. The CMs are there for you. Good luck!

This is my experience exactly. Some of the CMs seem even more annoyed that I don't want to try to book something else. It's like they think I'm wasting their time. That's not my intention, but our other ADRs are set. Then I feel bad for not wanting one of the available restaurants, when the CM has been so helpful.

Thanks for the encouragement. I realize the restaurants we're interested in booking are the more popular ones. That's why I call twice a day trying to luck out & get a cancellation. It's also why I'm looking for a more efficient way to ask for what we want. I may be calling twice a day for another month. :scared:

I wouldn't give up hope...I actually called yesterday morning and got a CP for Chefs de France (it was for the 2nd seating, 6:45 show) on 12/19 and it had previously not been available any time I called. Here's some pixie dust pixiedust:

Good luck!

Keep trying. I tried not to be too picky. I just said CP, any restraunt, any day dec. 3-6. Of course I was told, sorry all sold out, but the other day I just scored San Angel so we took it, not the restraunt or narrarator we wanted and I had to change some of my park stuff but the CP show was important to us and I couldnt physically stand in the standy line so we took it. I have called for what I want to and its only one day 12/6 and I think I have asked for about 6 restraunts so far and nothing. I will call again later too, glad I have free long distance on my cell phone plan. I just politely say thank you for trying or trying to help etc. Best of luck. Its 48 hr,. cancellation so you might even try when you are there etc.

You can ask the CM what do they have available at Epcot at 8:15. They will give you a run down, so you don't have to name all the restaurants

Thanks for the pixie dust. I need it! I've already been rejected once today. :guilty:

Good luck getting what you want. Hopefully, we'll both get lucky. If not, we'll both be enjoying a meal at SAI. :)

You can ask the CM what do they have available at Epcot at 8:15. They will give you a run down, so you don't have to name all the restaurants

Some of the CMs automatically do this. Others wait for you to be more specific about location.

I had to cancel a CP dinner because the time just didn't work for my kids. We can't eat dinner at 3:55 which for my youngest might still be nap time. So don't give up hope!!

I would just keep calling. Seriously, I have them on speed dial. I call all the time. For some reason, I'm having luck after dinner around 7pm EST. I've been able to get CRT, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, etc... People do cancel and their schedules change. I had to cancel LeCellier because we got an early dinner at Chef Mickeys (that killed me to do, but it's all about the kids!).

Just realize that it's the CMs job to check availability. Personally I hate when they start suggesting things. I know what I want, and I know I'm going to get it!! :rotfl: That's my story and I'm sticking to it!;)

By the way, some of their names are really ridiculous! Last night I got a CM named "Cappuccino"! :rotfl2:

Sending you some ADR luck your way! pixiedust:

(can I just say I'm still looking for 11/26 LTT for 4 and 12/1 CMC breakfast ;))
