...a park has been when you were there? We were at Epcot 4th of July 2004 and after the firworks ended, we started trekking out (we were standing on the bridge between GB and France) and the line to get out the front gate started in Canada. The line to get on the monorail was 2 hours long.

Thanks for the info. We're going to be at Epcot on the evening of July 4th. However, we're staying at BCV, so we can just walk out the International gateway.

The most crowded? MK, Feb. '05, during Mardi Gras. Pure gridlock! Liberty Square was the only section not crowded. Fantasyland was a (bad) joke.

Last year the week of March 7th was really really crowded. Spring Break. All of the parks were open until 11 or 12 but the crowds never really thinned out, except for the day that it was raining and freezing cold.

Christmas - 1981. ::yes:: I have a great memory. It was below freezing in the morning and never got above 35. It was PACKED!!!! The line for Dumbo was unbelievable. My kids were small and I was pregnant. A day my DH and I will never forget.
Before I learned all the Disney stuff you need to know before venturing out. It is a miracle my DH ever returned. He hates crowds.

We never had a problem with the parks being too crowded until LAST WEEK. Monday, January 2 was so crowded at MK we ended up leaving around 4:00. Tuesday Epcot was mobbed, and Wednesday at AK was awful ... we only got to see half of what we wanted. January ... who knew?

Without a doubt the most crowded was the MK on Christmas 2005 at around 10:30 AM when all the power went out to the rides. The fact that it was Christmas day was the first contributing factor and adding to the congestion was that no one was on the rides or waiting in line forcing everyone to just walk around looking for something to do.

BTW we left there and later went to MGM which was empty.

NYE 1999-2000!! All the parks were filled to capacity by 10:30 AM! We actually received phone messages the night before telling us to go to a park as early as possibly just to run our passes thru so we could get in for the fireworks that night. We were at MGM and it was so crowded it was actually hard to move anywhere.

The most crowded I've ever seen was MK on 12/31/05. It took nearly an hour to walk from Peter Pan to the front exit of the park. However, I heard from some CMs that Christmas Day 2005 was actually more crowded.

We also were there on December 31, 1999. EPCOT was the early entry park that day, and it was so crowded that they closed the park before the official 9:00 a.m. opening time! We managed to get in before it was closed, but it was wall-to-wall people. As an example, we had to wait almost two hours just for walk-up service at the Kringla Bakery in Norway!

In contrast, early morning on January 1, 2000 at the Magic Kingdom was virtually empty! :)

Well, I don't remember the parks ever being very crowded when I went as a child. DH and I went there on our honeymoon in April of 1996, and again, no crowds (I think we lucked out and got there right AFTER Spring Break!). Our last trip was the first week of December 2004, and again, low crowds. Only that first Sunday, when they were still filming parts of the Christmas parade, were there lines.

I'll third the thought that 12-31-99 was the most crowded day ever. We were in MK by 8am and were there until 2:30am the next morning. We had PS at Crystal Palace and we sat in there for over 2 hours. It was crazy!!! But it is something I will never forget.

I would have to say New Years Eve 05 at EPCOT. My sister and I waited an hour for singles for Test Track. i tried to move from Japan to the front and all around to look for hats and noise makers and it was impossible!!! People were everywhere! all I have to say is wow!! It was an adventure but it was still fun.

We were not there then but we took the Keys to the Kingdom Tour a couple of weeks back and the tour guide told us that that day, 12/31/99, was the most crowded she had ever seen the MK in her 11 years at WDW.

She made a point to show some of the places around the park where people were camping out and sleeping, because if they left the park during the day they would not be able to get back in.
