does anyone have a link for that?

we're going in early/mid Dec. but I'm trying to figure out how busy MVMCP is versus max capacity. I've heard that sometimes it feels really crowded. we're going on a Tuesday so hopfully that helps. I've heard they sell 20,000 tickets for the MVMCP.

we were in MK on memorial day 2003 and it was packed - they told us it was near capacity but I can't remember what that was.

TIA!!

I am not sure they will actually publish capacity numbers.

I do know when DH and I went in the early '90s, we arrived on a Saturday. We had planned to go to Epcot, however they told us at check-in that it was the last night ever for the Electric Light Parade. It was being shipped to Eurodisney (that tells you how long ago it was). They told us we had to go.

I have never in my life seen a mob like that. You literally could not move. Drink lines at kiosks took over 30 minutes to get a soft drink.

On the news that night, they indicated crowds of approximately 60,000. Don't know if that is true or not.

We did MNSSHP a couple of years ago. They said they had sold 13,000 tickets. Didn't have very long lines for anything.

::MickeyMo Um, a lot? LoL. The only time we've been there during max capacity (when they've actually closed the parks to people coming in) was for New Years Eve, and that was only MK. Epcot was closed at a point, but then reopened. Other than that one time, I've never seen it at the max. Even though it was super crowded (we were in Epcot for NYE), we didn't really wait that long for anything if that makes sense. I don't know, it was weird. The longest we waited was 45 minutes to get a hot chocolate! LoL. ::MinnieMo

About 3 years ago we waited this long to get hot chocolate at EPCOT over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was so darn crowded. Won't go over that weekend anymore!

::MickeyMo It was so crazy! Plus, for some reason, it was sooo cold that year! We needed that hot chocolate! ::MinnieMo

This seems to be a big secret to CM at WDW. I've heard people ask this question on this board and at WDW to Cast Members. All of the answers appear to be different.

I believe with all the speculation and numbers I've heard the unofficial number is somewhere around 70K at the MK

The average daily attendance at MK is around 40K. Of course those people are not necessarily all there at once. In order for that to be the average, there have to be a lot of days in the 60K+ range. Several years ago a CM (or so he said) posted on this board that he had seen unreleased figures of around 100K, again not necessarily all there at once.

So 20K at MVMCP is not really so bad, except when they all try to watch the parade on Main Street at the same time.

I'm not sure what the number is but they do seem to reach it on New Years Eve. I was there a few years ago and Epcot closed at 10:00 AM. I was talking to a cast member there and he told me that they had been informed that they had to leave the park after their shift to make room for visitors. That was crowded. I would never do NYE at Epcot again due to the crowds, but it was fun. At 6 PM they had a New Years Celebration at France, since it was midnight in Paris.
