Whats the magic number?

What is your magic number that you usually start your countdown chain? Just wondering. I usually start mine at 100.

We started ours at 30 days out in Mickey colors of course! Bascially because 5 year old DS can count to 30 and I got tired of telling him how many more days... so we made it educational and he can count for himself! Sometime several times a day!!!!! Have fun!!!!!! 20 days out for our AKL trip Ya-hoo!!!!

Last time, we began the count as soon as we booked the trip, but counted by weeks instead of days until about the last month. (Just change the color of the rings.)

I start at 100 or 60! Depending on my mood!

I decided to send my neice and nephew a count down chain. I made 1 large mickey head that says Count down to the Mouse. and it has one huge link representing 1 last day. Attached to that link is 4 rows, 3 with 25 links and 1 with 24. I sent it along with a letter saying " See you at the house of mouse. Your countdown starts on XX/XX/XXXX. You have 100 days from this date, remove one link every day till we meet in Florida. I think they will like it. My family has decided to go with us on this trip. So I am trying to make the best of it. Hopefully I wont lose my sanity.

The DH started as soon as we booked it...219 days. I started the offical countdown January 1st.

We're down to 37 days!!!

I count down in weeks until it gets real close
right now Im at less than 8 wks till April trip, then when I get back it will be 15 wks till our Aug trip then when we get back it will be 12 wks till my Nov 50th bday trip
