I'm interested in hearing about others experiences who've had a late dinner here. Please share your dining time, your thoughts on the characters & whether you think dining later had an impact on your interactions. Thanks

We had a late lunch there last Sunday, so it was a little different form dinner. The characters were great. My DD7 had not been to a chracater meal since she was very small and she was thrilled. My DD10 remebered going to Ariel's a few years ago and liked that much better but she was happy to get autographs and hugs from the characters. I would say we had 6-7 stop by our table including Mulan and Belle. We were pretty much the last ones in the restaurant by the time we were done and the characters were all long gone by then.
I do have to say the buffet was so not worth the price though. We really went because my grandma came along with us and she loves a buffet. We were very disapponted with the selection and quality. We will not be going back there again because of the poor food quality and selection. If we do anther character meal again, I will take my kids to Ariels, where the food is much better, even if it is more expensive.

We went for my sons 1 st birthday back in march and had dinner scheduled for 7pm. We saw mini, both chip and dale, and Snow White. There were other characters but for whatever reason they never came to our table. From a distance we saw Cinderella, but she never came to our table. The food was good however the price per person was not worth seeing 4 characters.

I just called to check on reservations and was told that there is an 8:30 reservation but the characters leave at 9pm. I made a reservation for 7:40 for December 31. I'm not sure if we will go though because many reviews say you do not see many characters and the food is not very good :confused3

Thanks for the info about the characters leaving at 9 - If that's the case then I think 8pm is the latest I'll change too, we'll be hungry so will want to eat, not just wait to get through all the characters in the first half hour. I too have heard a few bad stories about Goofy's, but I've also read (& heard in podcasts) many good ones too so am willing to take the chance. We're not fussy eaters (i.e. rather adventurous) and enjoy many different types of food so am sure we can find a few things that appeal, plus I've heard way too may good things about all the yummy desserts.

We went in October for dinner at 7pm. We only had two characters come to our table. It was quite disappointing.
