Once you've arrived at Disney and have checked in, what's a fun thing to do on day 1 to get things rolling?

After I've checked in and had a snack, I always like to swimming. It's a nice way to start the stay! :sunny:

get my room organized. I like to unpack all of my electronics and get them set-up. I like to get my clothes out of the suitcases and hung-up. Then, off to the MK for lunch.

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS mclep!!! :earsboy:

We usually head out to the DTD Market Place. It's a great place to get a dose of "Disney Magic" without burning up a day on your ticket. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We usually hit the pool for a little swimming....

Although a good percentage of the time, we have PS's for someplace that evening, and don't wind up staying long! :teeth:

:)

I like to go to the Magic Kingdom, just so it truly hits me that I'm on vacation in WDW. I also like to check out the resort I'm staying at, especially the gift shop, just in case missed something at the parks.

Well, after we check in, usually at the All Star Sports Resort, we recieve our passes, and head on to our rooms. One of the most magical moments of our Disney experience is taking the first breath of the motel room! We freshen up, and kick off our Disney stay with a trip to Downtown Disney. We have a blast just walking around and enjoying ourselves. They also have some neat shops at Downtown Disney like 'Once Upon a Toy' and Disney's Wide World of Sports.

Since we almost always arrive around lunch time--- we get settled, we really do like to swim if possible, then a character meal (Chef Mickey's). Seeing the characters and the view of the castle from the Contemporary are really "mood" setters for the trip. We almost always head over to DTD after dinner to get some pre-trip shopping done.

In May when I go my plane arrives before 10am so I should get to Port Orleans around Noon so once I check in at French Quarter my Mom and I will explore the resort since this is our first time, we will maybe go for a swim, then hopefully we will get in the room unpack and freshen before heading over to the GF to have Dinner at 1900 Park Fare, then we will take the monorail and ride to all the hotels on the line and take pictures.
Then off to bed to get up early to get to AK !

When we check in a t Boardwalk the first thing we do is head to Epcot for lunch at Rose and Crown pub out on thier deck. It's a very relaxing and calming.

I arvive in Orlando at 7:30 pm on my first day there, so when I get done checking in to AKL I'm going to explore the resort. Probably do a little swiming so the kids will be wore down and ready for bed, then a little snack and it's time for bed! When we wake up the next morning were going to AK and going to explore AK and see all of the things we missed the last time we were there. Then the next morning it's off to the Poly for 5 nights of pure enjoyment! :Pinkbounc I can't wait!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We arrive at the crack of dawn so we head right for the opening of MK. Once I see the castle and Main Street I know I'm home.

When we arrive around noon - we drop off our stuff in the resort, deal with stuff that must be refridgerated then hit Epcot & MK.

When we take the late flight, we arrive at around 11:00pm - so we just get room service, put our stuff away & hit the hay for an early start the next day.

We arrive right before lunch and hit McDonalds on the way to the resort. We always say we'll wait but we leave our house for the airport at 5AM and by noon everyone just wants to chill for a half hour.

This upcoming trip, I will do my usual: Unpack everything and make the room our home.

After that, it's what Greg and Joe want to do: pool or MK

Im weird. I like to get the room organized. Put everything away. I dont know why, because it only gets messy again. I guess if its a really short day, just head to the pool and relax.

I send DH and DD to the pool. Swimsuits are in the carryon, ready to go. That leaves me in peace to get everything set up nicely in the room. We then usually go to Chef Mickey's for dinner. We then wait for the front of the monorail, and take a ride around the circuit.
