When you get the DL, whats the first thing you do? Any special tradition your family does or a favorite ride you can't wait to go on? For me, the first thing I do is ride the Disneyland Limited all the way around the park once and then get off and New Orleans Square. From there I ride the POTC and Haunted Mansion (2 of my favorite rides) and go from there. What do(es) you/your family do?

My usual morning routine (unless it's MM ;)) is to hit up all of the rides I love along the way to NOS. JC, IJA, POTC, and then HM.

Well, first is standing there in awe with mouth agape. After I have finished that it is buying an autograph book :thumbsup2

If it is magic morning we head directly to Tomorrowland to ride Space Mountain and then Buzz until the park's regular opening time.

If it's a California Adventure day it's right to Toy Story Midway Mania baby!!

Those are some great ideas, ill have to try some of them.

I haven't been on the Toy Story Mania yet, how is it? I was actually listening to the Disneyland podcast today and they had a story on it. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Always go get a FP for Splash or Indy...then go on whichever one we did not get a FP for...then for on HM, POC, then go get a FB for Space!

Sal - it's AWESOME! I'm just getting to the serious Toy Story part of my trip report if you'd like to check it out...The link is in my signature.

Which link is it? I tried all of them (very nice reports by the way, you are an awesome storyteller) the latest one said it could not be found

What an interesting question. We always send one person off to get FPs for Space. We have been doing the same thing for so long, I am loving reading other peoples responses.

My tradition is to walk slowly through the entrance and enjoy the main train station :) I then walk all around the park just enjoying the view before usually hitting up POC cause it's the smallest line before working my way around the park

Grabbing a fastpass for Space Mountain to save for later and then riding it through the standby line right after.

On a non-magic morning, Peter Pan first! On a magic morning (and I don't have it) I head to get a FP for Space Mountain and then ride it.

We usually stand at the entrance for a couple minutes...basically in awe that we're at Disneyland!! Then we head down mainstreet ~ somewhat leisurely. Our first and last ride of every trip is Indy!
Over 5 more weeks and we'll be able to do it all over again!!

April :)

Thats hard not to do! :goodvibes

These are all great keep them coming!

We start out by taking pictures in front of the flower garden. After that we head through the tunnel and take deep breathes of air as it becomes Disney. We always take the train first! Its been a tradition since I started gong at the age of 7, now 35. After that we head to the mad hatter store and usually run into Mickey coming out for the first time. After tha we cruise down main street, taking pictures and take in the sounds. We usually start at Frontierland and go clock wise for the day. We usually can get to Fantasyland by the end of the day and start on the rides there.

Cant wait!! We go June 19-26!!!
