Between Lunch at Le Cellier and dinner?

Not sure how but we were able to get a reservation for 12:25pm and 6pm at Le Cellier- we will be canceling one- (May 26th- will post on may cancellation thread when we decide)

Is there a difference between lunch and dinner? The menu on dis doesnt show a difference, however allears DOES!

Do you know if the coffee rubbed steak is a dinner only item?

Are there other dinner only items?

which would you keep?

The menus ARE different. There are more salads and sandwiches offered at lunch that are not offered at dinner. As for the dinner items on the lunch menu, I know the filet is still there but I don't know about anything else. I also don't know if smaller portions are served at lunch.

oops sorry about that- I meant regarding entrees. I didn't even think that lunch portions may be smaller- thanks

I do know that the Prime Rib is most likely not offered at lunch. It takes all day to cook.....mmmm and it is good!!! One of the best I have ever had.

We have eaten there twice and both times were for lunch. My DH and I both had the filet with mushroom risotto and loved it :cloud9:. The portions seem small but with a cup of their famous Cheddar Cheese Soup and then the Chocolate Mousse for dessert, it is more than enough to satisfy ourselves. I had always thought that you would get a better experience there for dinner because of the menu selections are a bit different, but in reality we do just fine going there for lunch and still having the great steak :goodvibes

thank you- I posted this and then did a search for the same question- DUH I didnt realize that this has been asked many times in the past- SORRY!

I think we are going with dinner! Now we have to push up Akershus from dinner to breakfast for the kids (wish me luck getting a breakfast reservation for that)

As others have said, the menus are different and the portions at lunch are smaller...along with the prices. We are actually going back for lunch this time because I want to try the salmon BLT which is only on the lunch menu. The prime rib was not on the lunch menu but the filet with mushroom risotto was. Good luck with what you decide.
