Swine flu is HIGHLY contagious but not very deadly.

Bird flu is VERY deadly, but not very contagious.

Should the two ever meet, we could possibly end up with a highly contagious, and very deadly virus. Watching SE Asia very closely these days.

If bird flu moves into an easily transmittable form, it's time to panic.

From what I understand, the bird flu never made the bird-to-human jump where the the swine flu did. If the bird flu does become transmitable to humans, we will have a serious situation on out hands.
