Whats the difference between preferred and standard at BWV?

Hi
Could someone tell me the difference between preferred and standard view in the Boardwalk Villas?
I would like to rent from 10/12-10/19/02 if anyone could help me out. I was thinking of the Wilderness Villas also.

The Boardwalk is the only DVC Resort that offers a differential in the rooms between a Standard(essentially a parking lot or the central driveway) and Preferred(mostly pool, lagoon, canal and/or boarwalk views). About 20% of the resort is dedicated to the standard view rooms and, because of the lower price and limited supply, they are the first to be reserved. Unless you are very lucky or you plan your trip so that a reservation can be placed at the 11th month priority window, the preferred view is usually all that is available. Another factor to consider is that the Boardwalk, overall, is the most popular DVC resort and both views in all room catagories sell out quickly.
